JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Serves as an internal consultant and advisor between the client and technology group.

  • Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of complex, company-wide, business problems relating to systems.

  • Provides strategic and technical guidance to identify, evaluate and develop systems or automated processes.

  • Applies knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change.

  • Transforms strategic company architecture and design principles into specific systems requirement and specifications.

  • Resolves issues and provides solutions that meet business requirement and are cost effective.

  • Prepares specifications for system changes.

  • Recommends and initiates systems testing.

  • Re-engineers technical processes and systems for greater efficiencies with significant impact to business operations.

  • Responsible for daily Oracle R12 support for R12 financials and Source to Pay.

  • Responsible for understanding affects of requested financial changes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • Must have experience with the following Oracle R12 modules/areas: R12 Financials, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, EB Tax, SLA, Vertex, Source to Pay, Order Management, Cost Accounting and Fixed Assets.

  • Strongly prefer experience with Oracle SQL,PL/SQL, TOAD, Insight, OBIee 11g,

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to gather business requirements and create/ update MD50 documents

  • Experience with SDLC process

  • Ability to conduct meetings with cross functional team members

  • Ability to manage month end close process and work directly with Global Accounting/Finance team

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for our Dallas office. You will partner with Business Groups to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications. You will work with Business Groups to define their global IT requirements and to analyze appropriate solutions. You will lead projects from inception to completion with matrix, global teams. Responsibilities * Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business process models for defined-scope improvements, typically pertaining to a specific disciplines, using industry standard modeling techniques * Leads partner expectations, inputs and communications directly or via project coordinator, depending on project scope * Guides business and project delivery partners through IT process and obtains significant participation * Responsible for crafting and documenting solutions within own track * Interacts with other track BSAs * Is a guide in the supported functional track * Is able to vet data models, technical designs and drive standard methodologies * Follows guidelines and templates meaningful to a particular technology stack to produce the necessary project artifacts * Develops functional designs for specific disciplines for major improvements or projects * Owns and evangelizes functional designs across multi-functional groups * Ensures that functional designs meet business needs and are in line with the solution design * Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs * Owns specific modules in the application and develops test cases based on requirements and technical design * Defines test strategy and execution approach to test specific module of an application * Coordinates with partners and obtains meaningful signoffs * Clarifies defects, triage and oversee resolution with engineering teams * Leads improvement and project releases for specific modules * Ensures delivery meets release goals * Develops deep understanding in configurations of specific module/modules of an application * Brings in standard methodologies by keeping up-to-date with the technology and vendor products * Documents configurations for future use and training * Day to Day Support (Production Support) * Supports first level resources * Triages and troubleshoots issues * Works with various functions within GTS to ensure RCA is complete and SLAs are met * Works directly with functional SMEs and management team to coordinate SME training requirements and execution * Communicates status against key support issues * Ensures vendor resources have appropriate workspace, system access, and tools * Runs / leads individual consulting resources as assigned * Understands vendor roadmaps * Handles feedback and partner concerns, negotiation, contract renewals * Conducts limited-scope vendor negotiations * Provides status against plans and advances issues * Vendor & Application Technology Evaluation * Supports creation of vendor and application technology evaluation plans and presentations * May conduct research, pilot features and document and recommend for review * Conducts limited-scope vendor negotiations Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology/engineering major * 10 years of IT experience (business systems and end-user services experience) * 7 years' experience working in a High Tech, Telecom Industry domain * 7 years strong knowledge about Finance Processes * 7 years hands-on knowledge of working on Oracle Applications EPM * Experience in crafting and automating EPM solutions * Authority Hands on working experience with Planning, and Essbase * Experienced knowledge of Hyperion Planning (business rules, integration, etc.) * Advanced Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase (ASO, BSO, Calculation Scripts, Rules, MDX) * Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion tools like FDMEE, DRM, ODI or Advanced knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
