In this role, you will provide proactive business line application and desktop support as well as incident & problem resolution for Compass Pathways' G&A IT systems supporting a growing and fast-paced environment.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst - G&A will work with business clients to analyse business processes, collect, clarify, and translate their requirements into documentation from which applications and solutions are selected, procured, and developed. This role will also work to be a liaison between the various business groups within Compass, advocating and supporting the business's IT needs.
This role is focused on solutions related to the Compass Finance, People Team and Legal organisations. This may also include but not be limited to issues, requests, changes, and projects related Finance and HRIS systems. This role will work with internal and external SMEs in defining requirements, as well as implementing and maintaining effective solutions.
Location: Remote on the East Coast, USA or hybrid in our New York City, USA office.
Report to: Vice President, IT.
Roles and responsibilities
(include but are not limited to):
Represent and advocate for the IT application and platform needs of the G&A organisations within Compass (Finance, People Team, Legal etc), as well as maintain the application portfolio, data management, and support for these functions
Take ownership of all aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for IT systems, including management and oversight of IT general controls, associated RACM's, and testing and interactions with internal and external audit
Take technical ownership of, and provide technical leadership for, Compass G&A functions' business line applications, including, but not limited to;
Oracle Netsuite
Concur
BambooHR
DocuSign CLM
Additional applications as they are implemented
Track and manage all G&A business-driven IT projects and initiatives through a project portfolio and other appropriate management tools
Work with the business process owners to develop project plans to identify resources and establish reasonable target delivery dates and coordinate these to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Develop and maintain the budget for all business systems and applications in their purview
Partner with business process owners to define and facilitate the implementation of the solution through pilots, user acceptance testing and end user training
Work in concert with the user community to actively manage and optimize solutions through their lifecycle
Support product selection processes, oversee contracting and negotiations, and manage product vendors
Support integrations where necessary and provide recommendations for optimising system performance and business efficiencies
Candidate Profile:
Knowledge of and technical experience with rollout, configuration, management, and support of G&A systems. Specific experience with above platforms is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or related field and considerable experience in Biotech/Pharma is preferred
Previous experience in rapidly growing organisations is preferred
Solid project and time management skills-will be called upon to lead a cross functional project team in the absence of a Project Manager
Strong knowledge of and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and applicable SEC regulations
Experience working with key G&A processes, like financial accounting, procurement, budget management, talent acquisition and management, recruitment, and HR operations
Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
Ability to work well and partner with a wide range of team members: technical, business subject matter experts and stakeholders, especially under stress and with changing priorities
Ability to build trusting relationships with key stakeholders and experience in presenting solutions in a clear and accessible way
Experience in managing external SaaS vendors through selection, contract negotiation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance/support
Strong understanding of basic system engineering and data and information modelling, data and process mapping
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment where results are achieved through influence and the incorporation of multiple points of view
Excellent organisational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Some experience in ITIL and ITSM processes preferred
PC Tools skills: MS Project, MS Visio/Flow Charting, MS Office
