Summary:

The Sr. Systems Business Analyst is responsible for engaging in the development of business requirements to further outline and detail high level business data solution requests and performing cursory and in-depth analysis/assessments of enterprise warehouse and/or source system data. This position requires a strong background in healthcare data analysis, strong foundational knowledge of IT systems, excellent communication, and robust project management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Requirements Development: collaborates with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements for data systems and applications; accurately outlines data structures for clinical and healthcare financial data queries/joins across patient records, diagnoses, treatments, medications, billing data, registration, and denials with minimal explanation from business partners.

• Data Assessments/Analysis: evaluates and analyzes healthcare clinical/financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform best practice data warehouse modeling/structuring and/or data issue root cause analysis; assists in data quality report development/issue remediation by identifying data inconsistencies, and implementing permanent resolution solutions that ensure the data warehouse remains reliable and accurate over time

• Solution Development: assessing, recommending, and implementing data development/integration solutions to ensure seamless flow of clinical/financial healthcare data across various systems; design data solutions partnering with the business to develop precise data extract and mapping definitions that translate business needs to developer-level technical designs;

• Functional Leadership: mentor, train, and guide a functional business analysis and data quality team of junior business analysts and data quality analysts; coordinate activities to achieve functional team objectives, provide guidance, and conduct regular task feedback sessions; identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization of data-related workflow

• Training and Documentation: provide training to end-users and creating documentation to ensure proper utilization of data system; maintain comprehensive documentation of business analysis and quality assurance processes, standards, and procedures; design and/or support requirement document versioning and archival processes.

• Project and Stakeholder Management: leading or participating in projects related to healthcare data systems/solution planning and coordination of continued business and IT involvement; manage relationships with healthcare data software vendors and third-party service providers; act as a liaison with the business to the data development teams to fill in gaps or provide technical teams guidance

• Data Security and Compliance: maintain data security and privacy standards; develop sustainable data development solutions to uphold data security policies and procedures to safeguard the company's data assets; ensure that healthcare data handling complies with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant laws; participate in data-related risks mitigation strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare information systems or a related field

Preferred Education: Master's degree in healthcare information systems or a related field

Required Experience:

• 5+ years' Enterprise data warehouse models.

• 4+ years' of experience using SQL

• Proven analytical and reporting skills, be able to adapt existing methods, techniques, and procedures to meet specific requirements

• Strong research and analytical skills are required

Preferred Experience:

• 7+ years' related experience in Healthcare industry and Enterprise data warehouse models.

• 5+ years' of experience using SQL

• 1+ years of experience with Google Cloud Data Platform

• Expert analytical and reporting skills, be able to adapt existing methods, techniques, and procedures to meet specific requirements

• Advanced research and analytical skills are preferred

• 5+ years' related experience in Healthcare industry

Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Google Cloud Professional Certifications, Certified Business Analysis (CBAP), PMP (Project Management Professional)

Computer Skills Required: Gsuite and Microsoft Office Applications
