Basic Function:

A Senior Business System Analyst is responsible for leading systems requirements delivery for initiatives covering SAP ECC (FI, CO, OTC, P2P) & SAP BW, web, back office, data warehouse, reporting, business intelligence and analytics platforms. A Senior Business System Analyst will work closely with Project Management, Design and Development, Quality Assurance, Production Support and executives across various Business units, to manage software business products setups, pricing changes, business requirements in SAP STEP.

Essential Duties & Responsibility:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to lead facilitation, Elicitation and Development of System requirements for SAP, back office systems, data warehouse, reporting, and analytics platforms to support various Business units

  • Work across the Business organizations including teams responsible for products, fulfillment, customer service, finance & sales; also, with IT on project and program management, solution architecture, design and development, quality assurance and production support

  • Assist with mentoring, training, and coaching, the Requirement Team members

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement planning deliverables

  • Ensure solutions that are being delivered are per standards of availability, scalability and security point of view and that are done on time with highest quality

  • Ensure that standards and guidelines are created for all aspects of systems requirements

  • Ensure that all delivery artifacts are reviewed and are according to the standards and guidelines for the systems being supported (SAP ECC SAP BW, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, and CRM tools such as

  • Provide support and maintenance for the services being offered to the business and the environments in which they are offered

  • Ensure that SLAs are being met for services with the design development teams, vendors and project teams responsible for execution (development, implementation, transformation, and maintenance).

  • Work with hardware, software and services vendors

  • Provide strong and deep technical insights in various disciplines across delivery

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes and best practices to be the key resource to resolving customer centric issues

  • Establish and maintain competence in current and planned versions of products

  • Understand the use of industry tools / technology & their impact on project & operational goals

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place

  • Represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative. Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation.

Job Qualifications:

Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree in in related field, and relevant experience working within Information Technology verticals. Preferred: Master's Degree or MBA

Experience: Minimum 7--8+ years broad Information Technology experience in:

  • Experience in working with Enterprise Architecture, Project and Program Management, Systems Design and Delivery, Quality Assurance, Production Support and Infrastructure

  • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations

  • Demonstrated experience in taking the high-level enterprise strategy and blueprints and converting into system level deliverables for delivery

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering requirements for SAP, Web Based, Back office systems, Business Intelligence (Data Warehousing), Experience with Business Intelligence Reports strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in Use Case Development of the business needs and requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in working with various IT and Business partners to deliver on the requirements and solution.

  • Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated project management and planning skills and experience

  • Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures

  • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations

  • Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners including on and off shore

  • Demonstrated budget management, tracking and forecasting skills and experience for team management

  • Demonstrated on-time and on-budget system delivery skills and experience for

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Financial Reporting team with SEC reporting requirements, consolidations, and internal control and compliance oversight. Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Consolidation and Analysis: * Prepare monthly consolidation within Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). * Prepare documentation supporting consolidating top-side adjustments. * Maintain appropriate SOX documentation of financial consolidation process and controls. * Prepare overall quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytics to be provided to external auditors * Perform quarterly key ratios analysis, which includes documenting conclusions about trends observed. SEC Reporting: * Prepare quarterly earnings releases in collaboration with the Finance & Investor Relations departments. * Prepare tie-out of supporting materials for the quarterly earnings releases and 10-Q/10-K. * Assist in preparation of quarterly debt covenant compliance calculations and related reporting. * Prepare interim and annual disclosure checklists and supplemental spreadsheets to ensure compliance with requirements (GAAP, 10-K and SEC annual shareholders checklists. * Assist in preparation of annual 401(k) plan financial statements, 11-K, and Proxy. * Assist in preparation of certain schedules and disclosures used in SEC reporting (10-Q and 10-K). * Prepare quarterly Assets Held for Sale Analysis and disclosures. Compliance: * Assist with various Compliance responsibilities such as maintaining the Company's Risk Control Matrix (RCM); evaluating Company business risks and mitigating controls around Financial Reporting and Disclosure processes, serving as the liaison with Internal Audit and external auditors, and preparing quarterly compliance materials for Audit Committee/executive management. Other: * Maintain Store count and related documentation. Required Skills: * Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. * Minimum 2 years of accounting experience. * Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
