• HYBRID - If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Advising and Retention Services, this role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive implementation plan, including defining and tracking success measures in support of the University's persistence strategy. The Senior Business Process Expert represents key business units in the simplification and standardization of business processes in high impact/very visual situations; manages the selection and implementation of new student system to support the new processes; and prepares the enterprise for the change.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes data-driven insights, develops immediate and long term tactics to positively impact student retention. Identifies measurement criteria and reporting needs. Collaborates with leadership and Adtalem data analytics teams to deliver operational excellence on key business processes.

• Utilizes student success data and student development research to inform decisions regarding student learning and advising program outcomes, including assessing outcomes toward continuous improvement.

• Stays current on all college academic policies. Requires broad operational knowledge and a deep understanding of multiple functions and institutional policies.

• Assists in the creating of executive dashboards, KPI's and presentation materials.

• Ensures that the project team members work together to define processes, configure the system, and roll out the system.

• Supervises cross-functional team members and vendor representatives in the configuration of the new student system

• Creates new or updated policies.

• Manages the project schedule for their functional area and approves minor changes to the project schedule.

• Manages the budget for their functional area.

• Defines business processes and configures system to support a broad functional area and interactions with other functional areas.

• Approves the quality and completeness of the system for their functional area before production rollout.

• Builds documentation, defines training needs, builds training materials, and tests system configuration.

• Supervises testing of system by functional area.

• Staffs a team room with SMEs from functional areas.

• Mentors and advises Business Process Expert.

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required

• Master's Degree Preferred

• 5+ years years of experience in change management, project management, process improvement & implementation, etc. Required

• Must be considered a Subject Matter Expert for their represented area.

• Special Skills: facilitation, process mapping, policy creation.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $77996.84 and $140851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
