Job Requirements

Work independently as the senior analyst / subject matter expert and may provide technical support to others

Requires advanced knowledge of reporting and BI platforms, tools and techniques, and ability to effectively leverage it to support diverse reporting and BI functions

Considered a subject matter expert within a given area

Expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business unit and ability to effectively utilize these data sources for reporting purposes

May be expected to have a knowledge of broader enterprise reporting platforms and data sources and ability to integrate data across the enterprise

May be expected to present to senior management or executives

Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end to end

Generally focus on broad range of moderately complex issues that may span from short to medium term (e.g. monthly-quarterly)

Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

Job Description

The Sr Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst provides specialized end to end BI support and analytics for a significant business/function and/or projects/initiatives. May be considered a subject matter expert in BI and Reporting. Accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and/or BI capability and may deliver on ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate

5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background

Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of PC based analytical and reporting software packages

Proficient experience knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports

Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Customer Accountabilities:

Produces specialized reporting packages, dashboards and scorecards for businesses, with focus on the following functional areas: to understand objectives and deliver insights and commentary that can inform and shape product design and development, customer engagement, account management and business decision making,

Leads the implementation of initiatives in support of overall business/function strategy

Conducts analysis to provide enhanced BI to inform management leadership team

Creates complex and comprehensive BI reporting packages and dashboards utilizing data infrastructure, localized datamarts and external data sources

Validates the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting Packages and Dashboards

Develops meaningful and insightful commentary/insights on new and existing reporting packages.

Works with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc data extracts

Adopts, implements and effectively evolves report automation standards

Shareholder Accountabilities:

Understands business drivers, definitions and metrics in order to interpret findings, take action and provide meaningful direction

Leads the development and implementation of portfolio reporting (e.g. acquisition, attrition, portfolio growth, profitability, etc.)

May develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level

May develop and/or deliver presentations /communications to management or broader audience

Adheres to internal policies /procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines, contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities to improve operation efficiencies

Identifies variances and contributes to the analysis, due diligence and implementation of initiatives and/or business operations within defined area of responsibility

Supports development and/or/implementation of standards, policies, procedures, and solutions that mitigate risk and maximize availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness

Continuously enhances knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current on emerging trends /developments and grow knowledge of the business, analytical tools and techniques

Prioritizes and manages own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines

Identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency

Establishes effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers
