Job Summary
As a Sr BI Engineer o within the Pharmacy Services Finance Business Intelligence, Automation, & Analytics organization, you'll have the opportunity to become a trusted consultant to the CFO organization, deriving meaning and insights from a massive amount of financial data. Leveraging industry leading technology, you'll be tasked with designing dashboards and data visualizations used by stakeholders across the enterprise to drive profitability, expense efficiency, and to monitor other key financial measurements. You'll also have the opportunity to dive deeper into the data at CVS Health, leveraging sound research and analysis to drive tactical and strategic decision making.
NOTE: This is a hybrid role and you must report into the office at least 3x a week. Locations for hubs are as follows: Hartford, CT, Woonsocket or Cumberland, RI, Irving, TX, Northbrook, IL and or Scottsdale, AZ.
Job Responsibilities
Design dashboards and data visualizations with a focus on usability and speed-to-insight, engineering innovate features and functionality
Collaborate with internal Finance stakeholders to determine the analytical needs of the organization
Partner with data management colleagues to develop new analytics products in an effective and efficient manner
Drive discussion on effective design and feature engineering during Peer Design Reviews and Peer Code Reviews
Provide subject matter expertise in the data visualization space, making recommendations on project scope, architecture, deliverables, acceptance, and deployment
Blend and integrate massive amounts of data from disparate sources to design and engineer holistic semantic layer data sources that can be used across multiple solutions
Ensure developed solutions are of sound quality, consistently available, and performing to expectations
Drive continuous improvement by automating and streamlining existing technical processes
Respond timely to ad-hoc needs for data and reporting as necessary to support the larger Finance organization
Provide technical guidance and direction to more junior analysts
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging pre-attentive attributes in visual design
Experience managing and administering server-based BI platforms (i.e., Tableau site administrator)
Tableau Certified Data Analyst
Exposure to data mining/wrangling technologies such as Alteryx, Trifacta, Talend
Exposure to data management and engineering concepts (ETL, dimensional models, etc.)
Ability to identify potential technical problems and craft innovate solutions to overcome them
Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization
Ability to work quickly under potentially ambiguous circumstances
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $201,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
