Position Summary:

Skilled and motivated Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join a team enabling Personal Auto and Homeowners insurance operations gain data driven insights. This team partners with product, underwriting, operations, sales and marketing to develop insights and analysis/reports and to facilitate the Personal Insurance business, including development and maintenance of underlying data tables to bring new and existing products to market. The team also designs and programs new processes and dashboards. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago, IL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with business partners through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data using data querying and development

  • Designs and develops new reports, dashboards, data tables, etc. to provide speed-to-data insight

  • Enhances the efficiency, automation, and accuracy of existing reports

  • Works cross functionally on business solutions as directed to develop and deliver sophisticated analytic solutions that support strategic business initiatives

  • Follows best practices in data querying and manipulation to ensure data integrity

  • Effectively communicates information to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Provides support to business partners on creative analytical projects, including design of custom reports

  • Subject matter expert in all aspects relating to data collection and analysis for internal customers

Position Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in data and business intelligence

Strong knowledge of insurance products is a plus; experience in the P&C insurance industry is a strong plus

  • Strong data programming, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • SQL experience including table and data development

  • Experience in Oracle SQL Developer and MS Excel

  • Tableau experience is a plus

This position will require a creative problem solver who isn't afraid to get down into the details and build out digital solutions to unlock efficiency within our business. You build tools to consolidate, analyze, and drive strategic decision making across our supply chain. You will work with many different partners to understand the problem, identify the solution, and execute on bringing the solution to life. How you will do it * Be responsible for your projects by crafting project plans, tracking progress, and presenting project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership. * Build, develop and maintain data models, automated reports, and dashboards that align to strategic performance metrics. * Design and develop digital solutions that drive insights into major supply chain metrics such as On-time Delivery, Forecast Accuracy, Cost of Poor Quality, Returned Parts Per Million (RPPM) and Warranty Claims. * Connect with technical teams to identify data tables and schemas needed for analysis. Strong understanding of ERPs, MRPs, and Planning databases will be needed to determine how to prep and blend data from different systems. * Identify and tackle process gaps that contribute to poor data quality or long lead times to update our systems. * Identify and drive process improvement opportunities with digital solutions to increase operational efficiency. * Utilize business intelligence tools to communicate findings and solutions to the problems you are trying to solve. * Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed What we look for Required * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, or Engineering * Experience in creating complex SQL queries to prep and blend data * Solid understanding of BI tools such as Alteryx, and Power BI * Demonstrable ability to critically think and creatively problem solve * Outstanding Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills * Experience using the Microsoft Apps such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Lists, etc. * Ability to influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders when implementing a new process or change to an existing process * Experience connecting directly to multiple databases to extract, prep, and blend large datasets * Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. * Travel up to 10%.
