The role of Senior Business Development Representative requires a motivated individual who can recognize and create opportunities/leads for potential new business. Senior Business Development Representatives will be aligned and work closely with the Field Sales Managers as our champion for prospecting, lead generation, lead qualification and pipeline creation efforts. Active on social media and other channels and be active in various industry-specific groups. This role will coach and/or mentor other Business Development Representatives and team members. This individual will be responsible for reaching personal Business Development targets, embody the OneStream Sales message and be able to participate and provide the OneStream Sales introduction.

  • Assist with onboarding of new business development team members.

  • Coach and/or mentor other Business Development team members.

  • Researching prospects to identify targets for outbound activities.

  • Participate in strategic development of territory and accounts.

  • Research prospects to map organizations and relevant contacts.

  • Prospecting and building organic pipeline within designated targets.

  • Arrange calls and meetings with prospects.

  • Responsible for creating and updating (marketing) contact list.

  • Provide support for local marketing events.

  • Phone follow up on marketing mails.

  • Do personal mailings to prospects.

  • Support BDR in outreach.

  • Inbound 'lead' qualification.

  • Checking website visitors.

  • Following up with website downloads.

  • Researching, analyzing, and monitoring market, competitive, and target industry factors to capitalize on business development opportunities.

  • Utilizing thought leadership and case studies to build connections with prospects.

  • Participate in off-site events and sales calls.

  • Provide initial demonstration requests and contact us.


Formal Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline preferred

Knowledge and Experience

  • Three to Five years of relevant and successful business development experience

  • Financial or Accounting background helpful

  • Sales experience helpful, but not necessary

  • Qualified by "Head of Business Development" and Regional Vice President as a potential field sales representative.

  • Experience with financial software helpful.
