Amazon Advertising is a fast-growing multi-billion-dollar business that includes advertising on desktop, mobile, and connected devices. Ads appear on Amazon and on a network of hundreds of thousands of third-party sites both in the US and in an increasing number of international locales.

The Supply Quality team, solves Ad Traffic Quality, Contextual Brand Safety, and Viewability-related problems for Amazon Advertising programs worldwide. This program helps ensure that we serve ads in ways that are acceptable to our advertisers and also helps improve ad performance. Within Supply Quality, Traffic Quality primarily deals with determining whether an ad impression is served to a human; Viewability & User Engagement primarily deals with determining if an ad impression is served in a location where it will be viewed; and Advertising Brand Safety helps serve ad impressions in contexts that align with the brand's preferences. The team works across Palo Alto, California and Bangalore, India.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Supply Quality team to own relationships with various Supply Quality vendors. The ideal candidate has demonstratable success in negotiating and maintaining strategic relationships, a deep understanding of digital advertising, and an understanding of the Supply Quality space. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help make Supply Quality a differentiator for Amazon Advertising through strategic deals and next-gen integrations with leading vendors in the Supply Quality space. You will be expected to -

  • Develop a deep understanding of Amazon Advertising and Supply Quality programs to determine the optimal vendors around the world, strike new deals and renegotiate existing ones to deliver value to our customers while achieving monetization and efficiency objectives.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and other key internal stakeholders across the world to ensure that integrations are scoped properly, completed in a timely fashion, and architected in accordance with agreements.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Product Management to build and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with long-term objectives.

  • Translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect market data and information to guide our overall strategies and positioning.

  • Deeply understand the Supply Quality marketplace and educate internal stakeholders about emerging trends and new developments.

  • Independently execute plans while working in tandem with key internal stakeholders.

  • Serve as the single-threaded leader for Supply Quality vendor relationships.

This role is based in Palo Alto and will involve collaboration with partner teams and vendors across the US, India, and UK, spread across multiple time zones.

Our systems run across the lifecycle of an ad and help maintain a clean, trustworthy advertising experience for our advertisers. As a Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence the way Amazon Advertising manages Traffic Quality for itself and its advertiser customers, across its varied and fast-growing advertising programs worldwide. An ideal candidate has deep experience in online advertising and cybersecurity, is comfortable dealing with ambiguity, is a quick learner, and a great communicator.
