Job Description

The salary range for this position is $100,000-140,000

Reporting to our VP, Growth, Jellyfish is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Growth team and take new client opportunities from inbound leads, through the proposal, and then all the way through to close. Jellyfish's creative services have recently been re-organized into Creative Collective and AI Studios to reflect the range of capabilities we have and the advances we have already made in the deployment of AI into our products and services (e.g. Pencil Pro).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • You'll present Jellyfish's Creative Collective and AI Studio services to potential clients through face-to-face meetings, video calls, phone calls, and emails

  • Leverage existing network of brand and agency contacts to help grow outbound business outside of the inbound lead system provided by Google

  • Log all communication, actions and sales process milestones within relevant systems and tools

  • Develop presentation decks that tell Jellyfish's story and how we can contribute to our clients business goals

  • Demonstrate Measurable success through achievable performance o=indicators

  • Create and take full accountability for all proposals and agreements

  • Establish client's business and commercial goals and present appropriate campaign solutions

  • Nurture positive and collaborative working relationships with clients through proficient business practices and standards

  • Identify commercial opportunities and implement innovations

  • Take initial conversations with customers, create and understand problem statement, develop a plan of action, architect solution, and present articulately through verbal and visual aides

  • Ensure correct fees, costs, and terms are presented within all agreements

  • Lead conversations regarding contract changes/re-scopes

  • Work with relevant Department Heads to ensure contracts are always up to date

  • Attend relevant events

  • Stay up to date with industry tech developments and trends

Qualifications

  • Experience winning new business as part of a creative/marketing agency business development or growth team

  • Have an in-depth working knowledge of digital marketing technologies.

  • Articulate and confident presentation skills in front of clients

  • Ability to cope with competing demands and effectively prioritize

  • Past history and record of closing business

  • You'll lead by example by demonstrating daily tasks of calls/emails/meetings that lead to more closed business

  • Excellent business writing and document design skills

  • You'll be great at collaborating with team members to achieve common goals, valuing and respecting diverse contributions

  • You're good at adapting strategies and plans to navigate unforeseen circumstances

  • When faced with a problem, you collaborate with the appropriate people to evaluate different options find practical solutions

  • You embrace challenges as opportunities and seek feedback to enhance your skills
