Job Description

As a Senior Business Development Manager for our Moen brand, you will be selling Moen's Flo Smart Water system as a solution-based product, new line of business, and top initiative for 2024 by identifying, cultivating, and finalizing partnerships with insurance providers and carriers. Working closely with the VP, Business Development, you will contribute to the development of a market strategy focused on providing water remediation solutions to national and regional insurance companies.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in business development, sales, and selling solution-based products to C-suite leaders at large organizations . You will have a hunter mentality with at least (2) years selling in insurance and a minimum of (5) years of B2B sales experience. You will be able to travel as needed up to 25%, including overnights, to attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings with customers. You will reside in the eastern part of the United States and be near a larger metropolitan area for ease of travel.

This role is remote-based in the United States with a base salary range of $93-130K with large bonus opportunity.

What you will be doing:

  • Identify, develop, and close mid-sized & regional homeowner's insurance providers offering smart water shut-off devices for policyholders.

  • Annually close 3-6 insurers, each with at least 15-100k h/o policyholders, contributing to the team's annual plan.

  • Help drive the implementation of closed partnerships, coordinating with internal resources.

  • Achieve the annual sales plan associated with each closed account, delivering results that contribute to the team's annual plan.

  • Work closely with the VP, Business Development to develop a market strategy focused on providing water remediation solutions to regional insurance companies.

  • Ensure Moen is the clear referral choice for policyholders, creating product positioning that differentiates Moen's value from others.

  • Drive Strategic Account Manager (SAM) generated specifications for national companies at the regional level.

  • Leverage technology and internal process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.

  • Assist the VP, Business Development in developing the support network necessary to maximize sales potential.

  • Develop fact-based business case proposals and present them to key business decision-makers.

  • Manage assigned budgets to approved guidelines to maintain existing business and increase sales.

  • Monitor and communicate business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, best practices, and product performance characteristics to Moen headquarters.

  • Orchestrate the organization's resources to maximize sales opportunities with strategic customers.
