As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business development and sales management in the Northern Illinois or Southern Illinois territories. This is a unique role that combines individual sales performance with leadership and management responsibilities. You will work closely with the Director of Sales and Relationship Management to develop strategic growth initiatives and manage a team of Business Development Executives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business through individual sales efforts, targeting key personnel and decision-makers in associations, chambers of commerce, and vertical industries- Manage a team of Business Development Executives, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of sales performance- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and generate inbound leads- Cold call on potential new locations. Schedules face to face meetings to close deals and add locations- Collaborate with Marketing Department to design and execute campaigns to drive sales growth- Analyze competitor offerings and stay up-to-date on market trends to identify opportunities for growth- Conduct weekly status calls and scheduled visits with BDEs, as well as ad-hoc visits as needed- Foster strong relationships with customers, Account Managers, and all other PSG department members to ensure seamless customer service and transition- Meet assigned targets for profitable revenue volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts- Ability to collaborate and work within a team-oriented environment- Coach and develop direct reports to maximize their potential and achieve company goals- Prepare weekly reports to the Director of Sales and Relationship Management and ensure timely completion of tasks

  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement- Develop and manage a team of Business Development Executives- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to direct reports- Evaluate employee performance and deliver constructive feedback- Determine staffing needs and recommend hiring decisions- Determine work procedures and expedite workflow

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or business development- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth through new business development- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience coaching and developing team members

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment- Strong understanding of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions- Strong organizational and time management skills
