About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T&D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts.
The Senior Business Analyst for our Geomatics, Land & Information Management (GL&IM) team will identify, collect and analyze various types of data that will be used by management to make impactful business decisions. You will work closely with leadership to craft and manage operational solutions to automate reporting. You will communicate and present analytical findings to management with results and recommendations. You will also recommend process improvements to manage, identify and analyze data, as well as operationalize process improvements and quality assurance standards.
Utilize Power BI, SQL and other analytical programs to develop robust coding and reporting.
Work with multiple databases to extract, cleanse and sync data from SAP, Access databases, excel spreadsheets and other various internal systems.
Transform data into information that can be presented and communicated to management with recommendations or results.
Collaborate with various groups and levels of management across the Transmission and Distribution Organization.
Recommend procedures to manage data - identify, develop, and operationalize process improvements as well as quality assurance standards.
Support various projects being led by the Geomatics, Land & Information Management group.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Five or more years of experience working in an Analyst role.
Proficient with Power BI.
Highly proficient with MS Excel including experience with generating pivot tables and using formulas such as V-Lookups and proficient with MS Access.
VBA coding and SQL experience.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
Bachelor Degree in Business, Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Four or more years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to generate pivots and formulas.
Three or more years of experience with VBA coding and Access.
Experience communicating with and presenting to management.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and be a self-starter.
