DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You collaborate with UW Medicine partners and BI Report Developers facilitating business requirements analysis via the methodical investigation, analysis, review, and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and data needs

You manage the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification of multiple levels of requirements (i.e., business, stakeholder, and/or solution)

You create viable and consumable specifications, including acceptance criteria, in preparation for the sign-off, construction, and testing of reporting solutions

You coordinate deployments of Analytics solutions, to make sure they are successful

You develop and execute work planning related to development tasks including effort and completion date estimates

You perform to schedule and complete all tasks in the agreed upon timelines

You adhere consistently to communications guiding principles and methodology to ensure it continues to fulfill the Analytics group requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience

4+ years' experience must include the below

4+ years recent healthcare or IT experience

3+ years' experience performing progressively more complex and responsible Business Analysis and Project Management tasks. This includes the ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects with durations longer than 3 months, and level of effort estimates

Ability to independently lead small projects for healthcare data analytics and apply advanced knowledge of healthcare data and terminology

2+ years being a lead resource in projects using formal project management

Strong experience coordinating a team of analysts or developers

Advanced experience working through the complete report development lifecycle, including leading requirements gathering and documentation

Advanced experience providing, and the ability to independently guide customers through, various systems application maintenance/support, configuration, and implementation

Exposure to various systems application maintenance/support, configuration and implementation
