We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Strategic Projects.

Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, and provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams (both internal and external to the company) or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Collaboratively develops business requirements that reflect true business needs representing all stakeholders, and translates them into project components and system/ application requirements to help determine solutions to business problems. Participates in cross-division, multi-function teams, and effectively manages client expectations. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction.

Responsibilities -

  • Leads critical projects in Sales Planning and Go to market areas. Develops actionable recommendations from complex data and business analyses, and communicates them to key stakeholders effectively

  • Counsels business leaders, recommends approaches for executing high-level strategies, and influences the strategic direction of the business units, sales channels and go to market

  • Drives the construction of highly innovative statistical and financial models to analyze new aspects of business performance.

  • Develops and drives comprehensive business plan recommendations and implications based on analysis of data from multiple sources, emerging trends, and experience.

  • Staffs and manages cross- functional teams (sales leadership, finance, human resources) across the entire span of business planning activities.

  • Drives all aspects of priority projects and makes final team decisions. Manages stakeholder relationships, and delivers on exceptional quality and timeliness for key deliverables

  • Drives operational rigor for long term and sustainable impact. Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance, and recommends the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps.

  • Identifies best practices across sales planning and Go-to-Market areas through internal and external research projects, and leads projects to drive their adoption

  • Leads management of change across operations teams, world-wide and geographic sales and other functional teams to drive higher efficiency in Go-to-Market areas

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required -

  • Master' degree in business analytics or equivalent.

  • Prior sales strategy, sales planning and/or go to market experience preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as business analyst

  • Prior consulting experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills -

  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills.

  • Strong consulting skills such as hypothesis-driven structuring of business problems, gathering insights and information through internal/external research, interviews and stakeholder management

  • Extensive knowledge of research methodology for the most challenging business issues. Fluent with modelling and handling large sets of data.

  • Very strong verbal, written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.

  • Extensive knowledge of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.

  • Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.

  • Strong executive story boarding and messaging skills, with an ability to translate complex analysis into easy visualizations for executive presentations

  • Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data, and make clear and compelling business planning recommendations.

  • Excellent project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.

  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.

  • Strong leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management. Team player - working with multiple and different teams

  • Ability to lead multiple, large, time sensitive projects or work streams.

Deliverables for implementation assignments may include stakeholder engagements, construction monitoring, site visits, budget management, project documentation, public approvals and permitting, A&E solicitation management, schedule monitoring, account management, and quality control.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supports Senior Project Manager and/or Project Executive within a large-scale program with the management of a portfolio of assignments serving as Client's "trusted advisor" focused on achievement of project goals for schedule, budget and quality, and providing critical thinking and analyses to ensure quality client advice. Takes full-management responsibility for medium to large-scale assignments of over $25MM in total project cost.</li> <li>Directs or develops client deliverables including written reports, presentations, budgets, schedules, and program that are tailored to meet client's desired outcomes and scope requirements.</li> <li>Coordinates and directs the day-to-day activities of assigned project staff, both internal and external (JV partners, sub contractors, architects, and builders) to achieve project goals and objectives.</li> <li>Participates in staff development, mentoring, and training of staff under project manager's direction; and provides input on annual performance reviews for those staff.</li> <li>Directs or develops monthly client billings and ensures timely collection of receivables (if applicable).</li> <li>Participates in business development (farming) activities; including:</li> </ul> <p>a.
