Job Duties

Virginia Tax is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist their Tax Processing section. You would become part of a dedicated team that provides analytical support to enhance the Agency's tax return processing and payment systems. As a member of this team, you will support systems that are the foundation of Virginia Tax's core operations. They are responsible for the processing of over 14 million tax returns and 8 million payments which, help ensure refunds are issued timely and critical Government operations, such as education, public safety, and programs for those in need, received the necessary funding.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will help ensure our systems are operating as designed, are efficient, and are meeting the taxpayer's needs and expectations.

• Providing senior level functional and data analytical support.

• Developing complex business requirements for system improvements.

• Performing business analysis and problem solving.

• Ensuring system changes are working per design.

• Participating in Agency projects.

• Developing and maintaining documentation.

Anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $73,542.

This position is located in Richmond, VA at our Westmoreland Street location.

This position is eligible to telework 2 days a week after 6 months.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience serving as an application's Senior Business Analyst

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Experience understanding technical issues and how they affect an application

• Experience working independently with minimal direction

• Experience testing application systems

• Experience developing system business requirements
