Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst in our Chicago, IL office. This role will support Information Technology.
The Senior Business Analyst position will be responsible for collaboration between business, operations, and technology stakeholders to create business and functional requirements, user experience, document standards and solutions, and contribute to data models for the enterprise data warehouse, data marts and related applications. This role will work closely with the Lead Business Analyst, ETL and database developers, QA Analysts, BI developers, project managers, data governance organizations, and stakeholders to understand business process, business rules, metrics, reporting needs, and data needs and to translate them into requirements and documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work from enterprise roadmap vision to articulate project charter and high-level requirements and milestones
Collaborate with business and development teams to gather, document, and represent data and BI requirements
Decompose vision and high-level requirements into detailed technical solutions, processes, metadata, procedures, training, and standards
Create conceptual data models to accompany requirements
Communicate testing goals and requirements to QA Analysts
Use a wide range of communication methods to gather necessary information and evangelize the goals of the Information Management team. Examples would include, policies, processes, procedures, meeting notes, workflow diagrams, data lineage, wiki, and SharePoint
Candidates must have a strong background in requirements gathering, cross-team collaboration, SQL, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess the following work experiences:
Prior business analyst experience with one or more enterprise data warehouses.
Knowledge of common data integration, business intelligence, reporting, database technologies
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
Proven ability to turn business requirements into business intelligence solutions
Knowledge of Data Governance policies, processes, and organization
Knowledge of database concepts (relational and dimensional)
Proven SQL skills
5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing
3+ years of experience in Data Modeling
Experience working with Agile development methodologies
Education/training equivalent of 4-year college program (i.e. Bachelors Degree)
