The Operations Business Analyst is responsible for support of our Underwriting Commercial Policy Decisions system which is utilized for commercial rating, quoting and issuance of policies. This position includes writing new requirements for our vendor when we add new programs, coverages and forms. Qualified candidates also will write test cases & execute them in our test environment to ensure the system is performing correctly. Technical knowledge/expertise in commercial insurance coverage or rating is desired.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for complex development of the design and specifications and produces deliverables related to the project assigned

  • Writes detailed specs working with Product department

  • Gathers, compiles, and sumarizes information in regard to business functional processes, technology, or data, such as requirements, specifications, test cases and data analysis

  • Applies Techniques and tools to assure accuracy and quality of assigned deliverables

  • Assists in preparing various documents requiring use of technology tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio

  • Identifies and makes recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness of functional and technical processes

  • With minimal supervision acts as lead to assure effective communication between functional and technical areas within the team, organization, field, vendors and clients

  • Mentors team members with less experience through formal and informal training programs

  • Maintains business data, rules, rates and forms in assigned application with Product Management and vendors

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience required preferred

  • Proficient with computer software to include Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Operating system. Working knowledge of Visio a plus

  • Knowledge of ISO rules, rating and forms for applicable lines of business

  • Working knowledge of rating policies a plus

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously

In addition to being the primary point of contact and key financial advisor for the client, the RM is accountable for relationship selectivity, acquisition and deepening existing relationships through cross-selling, driving relationship profitability and satisfaction. RMs develop credibility and demonstrate the ability to dialogue with a variety of client contacts including business owners, Treasurers, CFOs and CEOs regarding topics such as the client industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues. RMs understand their clients business fully, serve as an advocate for the relationship within the bank and act as a trusted advisor for their relationships. RMs develop the overall relationship strategy through a thorough analysis of risks, opportunities and impacts to the bank, and is responsible for leading and coordinating client team members in the execution of the Client Management Process. The RM leads the relationship team and partners with credit, treasury and other BofAML product partners to ensure quality assessment of the relationship and prospect needs and integrated design and execution of financial solutions. The RM is expected to consistently network in the community and with centers of influence. Job can be filled as Business Banking Senior Relationship Manager or Relationship Manager depending on candidate experience. Qualifications * 5 to 7 years of commercial banking and lending experience in the Business Banking or Middle Market sector. * Demonstrated management of an extensive portfolio of clients with annual revenues of $5 - $50 million. * Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships. Proven sales skills and experience. Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and the industry trends. Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis required. * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability. Familiarity with sales force automation, such as ACT and other systems, a plus. * Undergraduate degree preferred in business, finance or economics preferred. * Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading and negotiating with team of bank associates to solve client issues. * Completion of formal credit training preferred.
