Under limited supervision, analyzes and documents current systems functions and recommends changes to existing applications or interfaces. Works with technical team to implement and test changes. Supports users on existing information systems.
Relying on experience and judgment, the Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are broad in nature and work can be difficult.
Manage key customer relationships at all levels (includes Chief Information Officer and Vice Presidents).
Possess deep familiarity with insurance industry, TMHCC operations, and technology practices/systems to optimally serve customer projects.
Drive efficient project collaboration by brokering communication between technical teams and customers.
Run project workshops for requirements elaboration.
Serve as subject-matter expert (SME) for all appointed applications and systems.
Steward Business Analysis (BA) Center of Excellence with associated best practices and project artifacts.
Mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts (BAs).
Operate independently with minimal managerial direction.
Regularly travel across the country to support projects and cultivate customer relationships as the "face" of TMHCC's Digital Program.
Participate in application steering committees.
Own responsibility for on-time, on-budget project delivery.
Prepare needs assessments and perform preliminary cost benefit analysis in order to align business needs and initiatives.
Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
Document business user processes and requirements for coding systems or programs including the data sources to be utilized.
Create complex reports to support business users and management requests.
Assist Programmers and Programmer Analysts in system acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
Act as user liaison to resolve system issues and write reports according to user or management requests.
Train end users on business software.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
Minimum of five years of relevant and progressive professional experience
