Reporting to the Development Manager, the position performs a liaison role between the technology and business areas of the organization. In this capacity, qualified candidates maintain a deep, intimate knowledge of the product and assist in optimal knowledge transfer of business requirements to technology implementations. The Senior Business Analyst position is a key, high visibility position where individuals engage Client Support, Sales, Marketing, IT, Sr. Management, and occasionally clients. The Senior Business Analyst position is responsible for business process/facets of user story and business requirement gathering, as well as functional specifications that can easily be translated into test cases.
Execute FIS' direction in Product Management strategy and direction including:
Requirement gathering with area Business Subject Matter Experts to obtain product information such as functionality needs and business process flows. May also conduct research to gather data if information is not readily available.
Maintain expertise in related accounting industry issues relative to regulatory accounting and reporting changes.
Maintain expertise in related disbursements industry relative to Check and EFT payments
Compile and analyze information, both quantitative and qualitative, to develop software applications related modeling and to ensure data and business process integrity.
Provide appropriate training to internal resources to help maintain internal knowledge strength.
Follow FIS' Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology for product development and maintenance projects from inception to implementation.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in financial accounting technology and/or financial accounting product management or usage.
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years' business analyst experience or equivalent experience with accounting software products (EAS usage is a plus).
Demonstrable advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills for writing requirements and/or proposals and presenting them to business owners and stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to write user stories, define and execute test scripts
BA Certification and agile / scrum methodology experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work remote / home office and possibly occasional travel
