Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Statistics Exploratory Data Analysis, ROI Calculation, MS Excel, Python, SQL Scripting, and MS PowerPoint. Experience in the Utilities domain is a plus. This is a work-from-office position with day shifts and no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the analysis of sophisticated data sets to identify trends and insights that drive business decisions.
• Lead all aspects of the development and implementation of data models and algorithms.
• Guide in statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and correlations.
• Apply MS Excel for data manipulation analysis and visualization.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts for data extraction transformation and loading.
• Build and deliver compelling presentations using MS PowerPoint to communicate findings to customers.
• Conduct ROI calculations to evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing robust data validation and quality control processes.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts in standard methodologies and sophisticated analytical techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data analytics.
• Chip in to the continuous improvement of data analytics processes and methodologies.
• Support the organization in making data-driven decisions that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Must have shown experience in Statistics EDA ROI Calculation, MS Excel, Python, SQL Scripting, and MS PowerPoint.
• Nice to have experience in the Utilities domain.
• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have good communication and presentation skills.
• Must have the ability to work closely in a team environment.
• Must have a keen attention to detail and a dedication to data accuracy.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must have a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
• Must have experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
• Must have a solid grasp of data validation and quality control processes.
• Must have the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Must have a passion for data and its potential to drive business success.
• Must have a dedication to continuous improvement and innovation.

Certifications Required

Certified Data Analyst Microsoft Excel Expert

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 02/24/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $[95,000 - 109,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
