The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a team member on one or more corporate projects and completes a variety of complex assignments related to project work/business functions. Analyze the impact of proposed project/ on processes, systems, product lines and staff personnel. Participate in the research and design of various phases of department/company projects/business functions and prepares detailed reports, summaries, and analyses. Secure information, study market trends and develops recommendations that will align with the scope of the project. Analyze existing business/system functionally and activity and presents new methods/processes/procedures (i.e. business re-engineering) to affected business units. Develop innovative and effective solutions and coordinates the completion of specific tasks and assignments that are part of the project/business plan.

Act as liaison between the Project, Information Systems, Business Lines and any assigned external clients and assists management with the development of project/business plans, schedules, budgets and progress reports. Provide support to the implementation of new products and systems as to existing products and systems. Develop communication, training materials and testing and implementation plans for projects, systems, processes and/or product lines. Develop and conducts training programs/sessions on implemented systems for business units. Provide/participate in the preparation of reports for all levels of management and outside organizations (e.g., Request for Information, Request of Proposals, milestone deliverable, etc.). May analyze business needs in order to develop project value proposition estimates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Related professional or technical certification(s) or designation(s)

  • Preparing cost proposals and justifications, monitoring expenses and budgets, and reconciling department billings

Work Environment:

Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

College coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Experience:

  • Researching, identifying and resolving complex business problems

  • Participation on project teams

  • Utilizing software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of corporate and industry policies, practices and various procedures

  • Business knowledge of assigned area of responsibility (indicate the business knowledge requirement at time of posting)

  • Planning and decision making

  • Analysis, compilation and interpretation of data

  • Preparation and presentation of materials

  • Planning and organizing of information

  • Achieving stated objectives within designated time frame

  • Providing analytical skill/content knowledge to contribute to team effort

  • Taking initiative to explore alternative approaches to project tasks, existing processes, and other project objectives

  • Performing a variety of concurrent activities

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in documenting and defining new processes and methodologies that will be implemented in future organizational workflow. This role will be responsible for documenting existing and new processes, workflows, and requirements. The analyst will be the primary source of documentation and process management in the Reconciliation Engine team. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES * Understands business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements * Very strong technical skills, coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of the customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements * Act as an interface between various members on the Reconciliation Engine team * Be part of a team that is implementing an analytical solution that is new to the organization * Writing descriptions of business needs and business program functions, including creating process and data flow diagrams, workflow diagrams, test scripts, training curriculum, and quality assurance/audit procedures * Drafting raw curriculum to support development of training materials relevant to the approved client business processes * Establishing and maintaining positive client business relationships across the organization, including guiding others in understanding client businesses, processes and priorities QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 3 years business consulting or project management experience * Experience as a team member on technology-based projects in highly complex business-to-business and/or outsourced client environments * Familiar with reconciliation processes * Knowledge in fields defined as information technology, computer programming, computer security, computer system analysis, database management, information systems, internet applications and development, software development, and related fields. * Business process reengineering and requirements analysis skills a plus * Experience implementing client server and /or web-based applications * Experience with process and data flow diagramming * Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Healthplan Services Tampa FL
