About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist to join the Corporate Risk Strategy, Planning & Governance (SP&G) team in executing on Front Line Enterprise Programs such as Business Resiliency, EUCT's, Records Management, Financial Crime, Compliance and Conduct.

The Business Accountability team is part of the Corporate Risk Strategy Planning & Governance Office and will report to the Coverage Leader. The role will partner with Corporate Risk to execute on programs in their front line capacity and support execution of strategic priorities, operations and business routines. Strong business acumen and experience will be a determining factor in selection. Successful candidates will be articulate, thought leaders, and possess demonstrated leadership capability; they will be impressive in their inter-personal effectiveness, with regard to their accomplishments, and with a proven ability to engage and influence management and business and risk partners.

In this role, you will:

  • The person will be responsible for the execution, documentation, and maintenance of the enterprise programs to include BRDR, Records Retention and Management, EUCT coordination, Financial Crimes/Fraud, etc. The candidate will be expected to take an ownership role in implementing change, resolving issues, and driving operational excellence.

  • The role will directly support documentation and maintenance of BCPs including input and maintenance of data integrity into the BCP system of record. The person will work directly with the Resiliency Lead team and may directly interface with Audit, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Technology, and Control partners. The role requires a collaborative individual capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast-paced environment. The BRC will have business resiliency responsibilities within an individual Business Group/Enterprise Function and must have an understanding of the business or technology the plan represents. He/she must understand the enterprise operational resiliency standards and how to apply effective planning and management. This includes active facilitation of all exercise and maintenance activities and participation in planned and unplanned events. Other responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain Business Continuity Plans, and ensure they meet Enterprise Business Continuity and Resiliency Planning requirements;

  • Conduct, oversee, manage, and document all exercise and maintenance items required in a timely manner as required by the EBCRP guidebook requirements. This may include: Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessments, Business Recovery Strategies, Technology Recovery Strategies, Functional Exercises (including both plan level and enterprise lead Quality Review, Data Validation and Plan Distribution;

  • Support the Business Resiliency Manager during an incident to include progress reporting and other necessary activities to facilitate an effective response;

  • Business Resiliency Coordinator team member must stay current with BRDR certification and have a thorough understanding of the Enterprise Guidebook and all the associated updates;

  • Support Business Resiliency Managers and Functional Managers to maintain BCP data in the BCP system of record;

  • Be a SME associated with Enterprise BCP policy and procedures and apply that knowledge to the documentation and maintenance of BCP plans.

  • Responsible for ensuring data quality of BCP plans.

  • Review/maintain submitted documentation and artifacts supporting the execution of each of the programs

  • Produce reports as needed to comply with program requirements

  • The role will serve as the primary point of contact for records and information management initiatives and for related communication between their risk areas, Information Management Risk Oversight, and the Information Management Office.

  • The role will serve as the EUCT coordinator and will be responsible for the identification of EUCT's, maintain the EUCT inventory and risk assessment, controls implementation and documentation and perform quarterly EUCT certifications and attestations.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Management consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: Experience working with large data sets

  • Experience with Business Continuity Planning Central Reporting system

  • Experience with Business Continuity Plan Repository system

  • BCP Certification

  • Ability to dig deep into and analyze data while identifying data relationships

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to take complicated topics and translate into an easily readable document.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization

  • Analytical skills including ability to strategically analyze and interpret data, diagnose opportunities, and provide solutions

  • Energetic self-starter who is flexible, proactive and detail-oriented

  • Highly dynamic individual who thrives in an collaborative team environment

  • Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to Travel up to 10%
  • Ability to work nights and weekends on occasion for incident response activities
