Approximately 1.75 million people in the US are living with Wet Age Related Macular Degeneration (Wet AMD). As this disease progresses in older people, cell damage increases, reducing vision quality. The Senior Brand Manager (SBM) - Professional Marketing will be responsible for working with their manager, across the Retina marketing team and key partners to bring launch strategies and plans to life through the development of successful marketing initiatives and programs. She/he will support the retina brand positioning and the resulting professional marketing strategy to inform the creation and deployment of promotional communications and messages for the HCP customer audience. This includes both personal and non-personal activities and messaging. Importantly, the SBM - Professional Marketing will support the creation and execution of a strategic vision to position brand identity and successfully market key attributes across HCP customer populations

Your responsibilities include, specific accountabilities will be defined with your manager, :

  • Develop plans and programs that will deliver on brand strategies for the assigned marketing areas

  • Manage assigned budget to deliver assigned work within budget

  • Collaborate and partner across the Retina marketing team and with internal partners where needed

  • Contribute to team culture and model team core values and behaviors

  • Model culture of collaboration, courage, transparency within and outside the team

  • Ensure compliance with all Novartis compliance policies and procedures

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Masters/MBS preferred.

  • 1-3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare experience preferred

  • Understanding of Ophthalmology therapeutic area or equivalent medical specialty including knowledge of key stakeholders along the continuum of care is preferred

  • Outstanding collaboration, adept at working with a diverse team to create best in class marketing programs.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

  • Exceptional time management, planning, organizational, selling and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated marketing acumen and business aptitude

  • High degree of customer focus

  • Outstanding level of drive, and the ability to juggle and manage multiple projects effectively

  • The position requires some travel (estimated 15-30%)

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in marketing or project management and some experience or at least knowledge and interest in key sustainability topics.
