Approximately 1.75 million people in the US are living with Wet Age Related Macular Degeneration (Wet AMD). As this disease progresses in older people, cell damage increases, reducing vision quality. This progression can quickly lead to a complete loss of central vision, leaving people unable to read, drive, recognize faces and depriving them of their independence. Prompt diagnosis, intervention and adherence to treatment are essential.
