Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Director of Brand Management will be responsible for driving sales volume and gross profit through strategic buy plans, product blends and merchandising for the Sportswear and Activewear collections

Responsibilities:

  • Have a keen sense of understanding of the needs of the stores concerning buying keeping in mind the market factors, size scales of clientele and the distribution of merchandise across the board.

  • Build and leverage relationships with cross-functional teams (I.E. Design, Sourcing, Production, Marketing and Sales) to create and execute merchandising strategies.

  • Analyze seasonal assortment of products, use the data to create strategy for future seasons and recommend courses of action with cross functional teams.

  • Support historical sales and analysis for product planning process, responsible for creating seasonal post mortems.

  • Identify market trends and develop business strategies outlining new opportunities and threats by retail customer.

  • Pricing line to meet GM target, follow brand strategy while being competitive in the market.

  • Develop monthly ISM packages to maintain consistent visual merchandising display strategies throughout retailers.

  • Visit stores on a regular basis to update awareness of existing trends. Compile competitive shopping analysis and present relevant conclusions.

  • Develop + spearhead the execution of global strategy through various partners including retailers, sub-licensees, manufacturers, and distributor partnerships.

  • Negotiate and execute contractual agreements with external stakeholders.

  • Develop and streamline cohesive brand process across all internal teams and international partners to assure brand alignment.

  • Work along side legal on trademark, registration, and contractual agreements.

  • Present strategic initiatives, business updates, and potential new deals to executive leadership.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the fashion industry is a must.

  • Experience in the retail/wholesale industry is necessary.

  • Experience with the international retail market landscape is a must (APAC, EMEA, LATAM)

  • Strong deal negotiation skills and global business acumen is preferred.

  • Understanding of various deal structures including sub-licensing, manufacturing, distributor, and supplier terms is required.

  • Business development experience is a must.

  • Experience in sports related apparel.

  • Strong fashion sense, creativity and ability to search for new trends.

  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math.

  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions.

  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organizational skills.

  • Must be detailed oriented.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office and working with system applications.

  • Ability to influence decisions and outcomes cross functionally.

Salary Range: $125,000-140,000

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent. Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
