Senior BI Analyst (Temporary Position)

About this Opportunity:

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will enable a data driven decision-making culture by providing insights at the point of decision. Through exploratory analysis and deep understanding of the business, this role will ensure critical descriptive, and leading indicators are available to decision makers within their workflows. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will analyze available data and present initial findings with recommended action steps and additional research needs. We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Omaha, NE, Berwyn, PA, Sacramento, CA, Hebron, KY, Chandler, AZ, Provo, UT, or Idaho Falls, ID.

In this role, you'll get to:

• Work independently and take end to end ownership of assignments

• Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to identify and fully scope out problem statement

• Visualize data in a way that is intuitive and meet stakeholder requirements

• Validate results and take ownership of the accuracy of the data being visualized

• Document code and business logic while clearly communicating data analysis assumptions

• Socialize results across the organization, summarize and interpret results

• Analyze the underlying data for the ability to proactively identify business problems and opportunities

• Collaborate with the Development team on additional data needs and quality issues

• Use SQL and other technologies to extract data from various backend systems

• Develop rich interactive visualizations, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources

• Evaluate processes and determine if they can be automated

• Conduct data analysis and modeling to generate business insights

• Identify data quality issues, including incomplete and inconsistent data

• Participate in data governance efforts and mechanisms

• Build descriptive and predictive models and test hypotheses

• Assist in problem-solving on related topics between user departments, service departments, and vendors

• Provide analytics to support near term business needs or to provide key pieces of more sophisticated projects led by others

We're looking for talent who:

• Has ability to refine problem statements and figure out how to solve them with available data

• Possess ability to influence peers to complete projects without a direct reporting relationship

• Has experience in performance metrics

• Has ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment filled with ambiguity

• Has minimum of a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Analytics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field

• Obtain Orion Industry Certification

• Has minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst

• Possess minimum of 2 years of experience writing SQL queries

• Has minimum of 2 years of experience creating dashboards in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or related tools

• Demonstrates success in solving business problems through analysis

• Preferably has experience working within Financial Services industry

• Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:

$69,723.00 - $105,276.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
