The Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of employee benefits for IDEMIA in North America. The Senior Benefits Specialist provides guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans. The Senior Benefits Specialist will work with the HR team, broker and vendors to maintain, develop, recommend and approve new plans, or modified plans and employee benefit policies. This position reports to IDEMIA North America Head of Compensation & Benefits, and is located in Billerica (MA).

Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):

  • Manages open enrollment process, ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information

  • Reviews all benefit enrollment materials and helps determine eligibility

  • Enrolls employees with carriers when needed and process life status changes

  • Responds to benefit inquiries from Local HR Site and employees on benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries

  • Assists with new hire orientation

  • Assists employees regarding all benefit question/claim issues and plan changes

  • Work with communication department, Local HR Site and vendors on annual campaign (wellness program, flu shot)

  • Assists in administering all leave of absence requests and disability through benefit provider: medical, disability, life insurance

  • Administer all benefits billing/invoices

  • Collect, maintain, and analyze HR metrics to accurately evaluate HR programs and outcomes

  • Other duties as needed

Senior Benefits Specialist will also be involved to support Compensation related subjects as Annual Salary Review Campaign, Bonus payment, Survey participation

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of healthcare policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written), listening, analytical and problem solving skills, with highly developed customer service orientation

  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook e-mail, knowledge of ADP system a plus

  • Proactive, decisive and able to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, pitch in when needed, function as a member of the team

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects

  • Must be a team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. HR certification preferred

  • Three to five years of previous Human Resources experience with an emphasis on benefits required

Travel Requirement, Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Travel requirement will be exceptional, during open enrolment

  • General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated

  • Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office

Responsibilities New opportunity based in Billerica MA for a Sr. Manager of External Reporting to join the Corporate Finance Team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Accounting Operations, the Sr. Manager of External Reporting is a key member of the Finance leadership team with primary responsibility for the management and preparation of SEC and other financial regulatory filings, including Form 10-Q and 10-K, together with ownership of the corporate financial consolidation process. This role also offers technical support/assistance/training on US GAAP, SEC, and M&A matters to local and corporate accounting teams, and manages three accounting professionals on the corporate accounting team. * Preparation and issuance of SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K as well as selected 8-Ks (e.g. quarterly earnings release), benefit plan reports (11-K), and other reporting as required. Works closely with all departments (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and business units), senior management, and other external parties (attorneys, auditors) to accurately prepare and timely file SEC documents. Ensures consistency of messaging across SEC filings, press releases, and investor presentations on a quarterly basis. * Work closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller, offers technical support, training, and assistance to monitor and interpret US GAAP and SEC guidance as it relates to external financial reporting for local and corporate accounting teams. Drives required changes to SEC financial reports and other regulatory filings. * Review of prepared cash flow and equity roll-forwards on a monthly and quarterly basis. Develops support and auditable documentation for all material changes in the period. * Owns the corporate close and consolidation process across all entities, segments, and business units globally. This includes preparation, coordination, management, quality control, performance metrics, and delivery of consolidation results to all stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. * Develops a risk profiled Entity Analytical Report (EARs) for review and analysis by Corporate Accounting team to identify unusual or material balance sheet changes in the entity within the period. Works with local teams to clear queries that may lead to accounting adjustments. * Leads balance sheet reviews (deep dive of accounts) of risk-profiled entities to confirm compliance with corporate accounting policies and US GAAP. Works with local teams to address problems and accounting issues in advance of the next reporting period. * Manages monthly accounting for stock-based compensation, including restricted stock units incentive stock options issued at corporate. Collaborates with Human Resources and legal resources to ensure accuracy and completeness in accounting and related financial reporting disclosures. * Manages non-GAAP reporting with business units and entities.
