LOCATION: The work schedule for this full-time position is hybrid requiring attendance in the office 3-days per week. Office locations are Chicago IL, Philadelphia PA, or New York City NY. This are no remotely based options.
OVERVIEW
You will manage the design, administration, communications, and compliance of retirement plans in the Americas to ensure market competitiveness. You will stay up-to-date market and regulatory changes and make recommendations regarding retirement benefits design, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure that Wolters Kluwer is viewed as an employer of choice by current and prospective employees. You will report to the Director, Benefits for the Americas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a subject matter expert for defined contribution, defined benefit, and non-qualified plans. Provide guidance, support, and education on retirement plans to employees and peers
Perform daily retirement plan administration activities, such as processing funding contributions, withdrawals, and other transactions
Analyze and review benefit programs and recommend changes in design, pricing, financing, vendors to ensure programs are efficient, market alignment, compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned to the organization's strategic objectives
Work to resolve complex issues with vendors and internal teams such as HRIS, finance, compensation, legal, and payroll
Analyze current programs and recommends potential changes, contributing to retirement plan strategy updates and plan design.
Ensure programs are administered correctly based on plan documents, summary plan descriptions and plan provisions
Work with consultants and legal counsel to review and implement plan amendments and make appropriate changes to plan documents
Lead annual enrollment processes such as Canada RRSP enrollment and NQDC enrollment
Engage in vendor management to ensure SLAs are met, optimal customer service is provided, and integrations are working
Build timely reporting and filings such as Form 5500s, Pension filings and Summary Annual reports
Identify, develop, and improve retirement reporting and analytics
Lead benefits communications to ensure employee understanding and appreciation of benefit programs; build communications in collaboration with HR Communications, HR Service Delivery, and external communication partners
Develop and manage content for executive presentations, departmental presentations, HR and employee webinars
Partner with HRIS and vendors to conduct system assessments to improve efficiency, makes recommendations, and complete user acceptance testing
Provide support to the North America Benefits Team with health and welfare benefits projects
As part of the Global Benefits Center of Excellence, contribute to the global well-being program, championing financial well-being
Perform benefits due diligence in acquisitions and mergers
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, Finance, or Business; or equivalent experience
Experience:
7+ years of progressive Corporate Benefits or Benefits consulting experience required with a strong background in design, development, financing, and delivery of U.S. retirement programs for large, multinational corporations; some experience managing plans across the Americas region and/or retirement plans is preferred
2+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration.
Alignment with internal partners, particularly HR, Finance, and Legal colleagues to ensure retirement plans are understood and appropriately managed
Proficiency in retirement plan compliance and reporting requirements, including ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
Experience working in a global shared services environment with effective strategies to reinforce a shared services engagement model as a leader in a Center of Expertise
Other Skills
Structure and analyze data, develop insights, and formulate an aligned approach and plan
Knowledge of government regulations and requirements (e.g., filing and compliance requirements) with established network of resources to remain current on market changes
Expertise in retirement plans; exposure to health & welfare plans a plus
Management of multiple priorities and work streams
Analytical problem-solving skills
Navigation in a global, matrixed work environment
Maintain confidentiality.
Work with common office software programs

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $93,400-$130,600
