NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Backup Administrator to join our team in Rockville, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).

Duties

Provides technical leadership and acts as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff performing backup and restore. Performs daily backup and restore administration, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring functions.

Works on critical backup and restore related projects. Troubleshoots issues with regards to backup and restore environments as well as providing design and architecture input into future installations. Performs upgrades and migrations for backup and restore hardware and software.

Monitors and develops reports for backups and restores in reference to performance as well as usage and trends analysis. Directs junior backup and restore administration staff. Is self-directed and can perform with little or no management supervision.

Directs and supervises Junior Backup Administration staff. Performs additional back and restore related duties as required.

Possesses a high level of experience with managing and troubleshooting tape libraries, tape silos, tape media, drive failures, device connectivity, and cabling, as well as backup management software and servers. Has 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining large backup and restore environments.

Has advanced knowledge and experience of backup and restore principles and design to scaling and maintaining complex deployments. Understands technologies and tools that support all tiers of backup and restore management, strategies, and techniques. Has knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft operating systems as it pertains to backups and restores. Has demonstrated experience with SAN-based backups and restores.

Basic Qualifications:

BS Education Requirement
5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience

The Senior Benefits & Leave Administrator is responsible for ensuring the administration of the Company's benefit functions in the most efficient, cost effective and compliant manner. The position maintains strong working relations with employees, managers, the accounting department and outside vendors. Performs benefits related functions for all Company benefit programs including Health, FSA, disability, life, and retirement, etc. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Researches and resolves all employee benefit questions. Works with our benefits broker to ensure all employee questions are answered in a timely manner. * Resolves all benefit related issues with ADP and/or the carriers. * Assists the HR Manager in reviewing benchmarking data to ensure our benefits are competitive in the market place. Makes sound benefit recommendations on enhancements and/or changes to our benefit offerings. * Tracks employee leave benefits to ensure they are accurate in all leave systems. Works with the accounting department to ensure their accrual data is accurate. * Administers all leave including FMLA and disability and follows applicable Federal and State Laws. * Coordinates all Open Enrollment activities with benefits broker including, but not limited to: administers new plan set-up in HRIS, reviews reports to ensure accuracy and legal compliance, resolves employee issues with ADP/or carrier, and sets up employee meetings/webinars. * Administers all leave including FMLA and disability and follows applicable Federal and State Laws. * Ensures all invoices are paid and resolves any billing issues with the carriers/accounting department. Ensures accounting department has accurate information for each quarterly close. Reviews health and wellness invoices for accuracy, and resolves any discrepancies. * Sends out all required legal documentation in regard to benefits, including, but not limited to: Summary Plan Descriptions, Certificates of Benefits, 1095-C's, etc. * Collects benefits data from interactions with employees and identifies patterns, and informs the HR Manager. * Assists the HR Manager in reviewing benchmarking data to ensure our benefits as competitive in the market place. Makes sound benefit recommendations on enhancements and/or changes to our benefit offerings. * Tracks employee leave benefits to ensure they are accurate in all leave systems. Works with the accounting department to ensure their accrual data is accurate. * Coordinates blood drives, CPR & First Aid, Flu Shots, and other benefit events. * Enters employee information in various systems including, but not limited to, benefit related systems. * Enters employee benefit changes into the HRIS system for proper processing over to the carriers. * Assists with other projects as assigned. Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Assists in other Human Resources projects outside of benefits based on department need. * Mentor other junior level staff members and be a positive influence to their growth. Supervisory Responsibilities: * N/A Knowledge and Other Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. * 5+ years related experience. * 2+ years of prior FMLA and State leave administration experience required. * Proficiency in the Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. * Exceptional problem solving, attention-to-detail, project management, follow-though, multi-tasking, and time management skills. * Ability to interpret and analyze data to make recommendations for change. * Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding health and welfare benefits. * Legal knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, Medicare Part D, and FMLA. * Ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.
