Work you'll do/Responsibilities
As an AWS Cloud Engineer you will be working in a team environment, this position is responsible for specifying, designing, implementing, maintaining Cloud and related infrastructure. This includes virtual servers, storage, and networking components.
Ability to build EC2 instances and/or VMware Virtual Machines, configure networking, storage, compute resources. Ability to learn and troubleshoot unsupported software products and properly integrate into CANES TVE platform. Understanding of migrating systems from premise to Cloud. Manage and maintain CANES instances and troubleshoot and provide engineering support to CANES training that is delivered around the world.
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client's end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
6yrs+ of Vmware systems engineering experience with at least 2 years+ of AWS experience.
Certifications in system administration, system architecture, virtualization or cloud technologies preferred
Proficient experience with a scripting tool such as python or related
Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other Cloud providers (nice to have). AWS Certifications are preferred.
Install, configure, automate, and monitor various Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
Hands on experience with one or more of the following: Active Directory, Centrify, McAfee, Tenable/Nessus, Splunk, RedHat Linux/Windows OS
Should be willing to take on a production support role
System Administration Experience with RedHat Linux and Windows Server 2012R2/2016.
Setup High Availability and DR environments in AWS
Willing to take on Production Support
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Must live or be willing to relo to Gilbert, AZ
Must be a US Citizen with an active secret or willing to obtain a secret clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
AWS certification Associate/Professional SysOps Administrator
Security + certification
Experience with VMware products like vRealize
Working knowledge of ITIL and/or agile methodologies
