Job Description:

Sr. Performance Specialist

GDIT is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Performance Specialist to join our Cloud Engineering and Migration team to support current cloud requirements, cloud migration and deployment of new requirements to the AWS Cloud environment for our federal customers. As a Senior AWS Cloud Performance Specialist, you will work with a team Subject Matter Experts to engineer/develop, migrate and implement secure cloud solutions using AWS. In this role, the candidate should have a strong experience using AWS well-architected framework, AWS services and technologies, infrastructure, application, server, compliance, and hands-on automation experience.

Responsibilites:

  • Participate on agile DevOps and agile SecOps cross-functional teams using AWS Cloud technologies and tools to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to the customer.

  • Architect solutions using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodology to enable automation in building, testing, and deployment of applications.

  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with a diverse group of staff members, stakeholders, and customers.

  • Provide Operations maintenance and performance monitoring

  • Monitor storage and data, and provide optimization insights

  • Maintain an understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT and business needs, while identifying and proposing cost and functional efficiency options for the customer's collaborative decisions and actions.

  • Create and maintain a roadmap of customer enhancements according to the customer's decisions and directions. Track achievement in collaboration with the Cloud Leader.

  • Track and adjust the customer's use of AWS Cloud resource limits and quotas.

Key Requirements:

  • U. S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder

  • Ability to secure a Public Trust clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline

  • Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google)

  • 3+ years' AWS experience in a solutions delivery role.

  • 3+ years' experience with solutions delivery using well-architected cloud frameworks, services, and technologies

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience working with senior level stakeholders and development teams

  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey cloud technologies and solutions to all levels of customer personnel

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

Desired:

  • 3+ years' experience working within a DevSecOps/DevOps environment, utilizing AWS services, solutions, and provisioning/automating AWS infrastructure, services and tools.

  • Familiarity with Security operations and compliance.

The likely salary range for this position is $115,840 - $173,760, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
