A week in the life of a Senior Avionics Engineer:
Provide technical reviews of proposed P-3C and P-8A avionic system engineering changes
Perform pre-induction and post-modification acceptance testing on Navy aircraft
Perform pre-induction and post-modification acceptance testing on LRIP aircraft
Provide support to and oversight of contractor modification teams during the incorporation of aircraft modifications
Support a Military maintenance department to ensure that aircraft systems are FMC when required
Interface with FST, Fleet Operators and Maintenance personnel to resolve operational discrepancies on program aircraft
Provide ground support to the ITT for C4I testing (CDL, Link-16, Link-11, etc.)
Interface with OEM activities for engineering/logistics support

Required skills and experience:
CNATTU Avionics C School completion
Ten years (minimum) experience with P-3 avionics support
One year (minimum) experience with P-8 avionics support
Five years (minimum) experience working in DoD ACAT 1 Acquisition programs.
Five years (minimum) experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)
Ten years (minimum) work experience
MS Office product proficiency
Fiber Optic inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair and manufacture
Proven ability to work well in an active duty military team environment
