U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC) is seeking an experienced Sr. Automated Test Engineer to join its growing technology team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automated testing and demonstrate an ability to proactively design and create automated testing plans, frameworks, and solutions. Responsibilities will include: developing, implementing and maintaining automated testing solutions; serving as a subject matter expert for complex automation scripting and tool usage; testing existing web applications and web services; developing new testing approaches to support emerging efforts relating to business intelligence, data architecture and data science; and building automated regression tests for updates to system infrastructure.

This position also will help facilitate the upkeep of the team's quality assurance practices and standards and contribute regularly to the development of a broader vision and roadmap for quality assurance efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years of experience with designing, planning and execution of system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle

  • At least 7 years of experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment

Required Skills/Experience

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining automated testing solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience

Working experience in:

  • Programming, scripting tools and languages (C#, SQL, JavaScript strongly preferred; Python and R are a plus)

Extensive experience in:

  • Application testing in the following areas of focus: Web applications, business intelligence development and data science projects

  • Application development tools, including Visual Studio

  • System testing

  • Software quality assurance best practices

  • IT quality assurance

  • IT standards, procedures, policy
