KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Internal Audit Department.


  • Support the audit team in the planning and successful execution of a full range of audits including the preparation or supervision of all audit workpapers and communication of findings and issues to the audit team, as appropriate, on a timely basis

  • Prepare detailed internal audit engagement budget, track actual time versus the budget, and identify overruns

  • Provide supervision, continuous assistance, and feedback on performance to associates; seek and provide upward feedback

  • Draft or edit audit reports that summarize the results of testing performed, meeting expectations for accuracy, clarity, conciseness and minimal revision

  • Maintain an objective mind set and an appropriate level of professional skepticism and perform all work with due care

  • Participate in special projects, and financial, operational and compliance audits as directed


  • Three to five years of work experience in IT, operational and/or financial Auditing

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university

  • Basic knowledge of risks and controls

  • CISA, CISSP, CPA, CIA or related certifications are preferred

  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and team work

  • Ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members

As part of Arch's global IA team, the Manager will lead the planning and delivery of IA/SOX strategic priorities and program efforts, along with audit/advisory projects. Job Responsibilities * Lead the planning and execution of IA/SOX strategic priorities and program efforts, along with audit/advisory projects * Coordinate all activities associated with project/initiative execution, including planning, scoping, testing and reporting, wrap-up, and issue follow up, as necessary * Oversee IA team members assigned to projects * May serve as the primary point of contact with internal client team, depending upon project requirements * Serve as a key contributor during the annual risk assessment process for the IA and SOX Plans * Travel up to 20% may be required Required Skills/Experience * 7+ years of audit/risk management experience in a public accounting firm and/or corporate organization * IT-Specific Positions: IT-related audit/risk management experience * Excellent understanding of internal audit and/or SOX planning, testing, and reporting requirements Desired Skills/Experience * Previous insurance industry (e.g., Insurance, Reinsurance, Mortgage Insurance) internal audit and/or SOX experience, ideally within a global firm * Strong grasp of risk and control concepts * Strategic thinker; ability and experience in challenging the status-quo * Experience with planning and executing strategic initiatives * Data analytics skills and experience * Confident, with strong interpersonal, and communication skills * Thrives within a team environment * Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges * Experience working with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Alteryx and Power BI/Tableau Education * Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance * IT-Specific Positions: Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Programming * Obtained or in the pursuit of a recognized accounting/auditing qualification (e.g., CPA/ACCA/CA, CISA, CIA, CISSP) * Additional Education & Certifications a plus (e.g., MBA, CIMA, CGMA) The Company Arch Capital Group Ltd. is a Bermuda-based company which provides insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance on a worldwide basis.
