The Armstrong Flooring Audit team is growing, and we are seeking a Senior Auditor. In this role, you will lead the assessment of design and operating effectiveness of managements system of internal controls to address the strategic, financial, IT, operational, and compliance risks impacting the global organization. This is a high-exposure position in which you will have the opportunity to develop your business acumen, sharpen your communication skills and develop meaningful relationships throughout the organization.

Location: Remote - 10% travel as needed

How youll contribute to the team:

  • Lead or participate on projects in the annual audit plan involving the delivery of controls advisory services, such as developing controls in new systems and processes, redesigning business processes, troubleshooting unexpected financial, operational and control issues that arise, and a variety of other matters
  • Lead or participate in special projects, such as M&A due diligence, ethics investigations and serving on task forces, as well as department quality assurance activities and responding to management requests;
  • Assist the Company's external auditors in their testing and evaluation of operating effectiveness of the Companys internal controls
  • Support the Companys compliance with The Sarbanes Oxley Act by performing interim and roll forward testing of key controls, assessing controls effectiveness, and advising control owners on remediating any deficiencies identified
  • Draft audit reports that convey insights as to the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and business processes
  • Provide guidance and coaching to audit team members across the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of assigned projects to enable them to deliver high-quality results in an efficient manner

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics Degree; Bachelor's
  • 5+ years progressive audit experience with a national accounting firm, public company internal audit department, or equivalent financial experience with a global organization

We'll be excited if you have:

  • Holding or actively pursuing relevant certifications (i.e. CPA, CIA or CISA)
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
