Position Description:

Provides financial analysis and support to the Asset Management Quantitative Research & Investments' management team. Develops financial, cost-benefit, and forecasting models to support business decisions. Creates profitability models for new investment products, business initiatives, and identifying growth opportunities. Analyzes financial, market, and business data using R, Microsoft Office suite, SQL, Domo, and Tableau. Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of financial data. Provides analytics to management to drive initiatives. Supports the planning process including strategy development, multi-year plan, budget, and forecasts. Oversees and analyzes monthly results including assets, flows, market share, expense, headcount, and profitability. Builds and maintains financial data dashboards. Organizes and analyzes data to summarize findings for executive review.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including developing financial models, analyzing data, and creating forecasts.

  • Responsible for a broad range of analytics, and strategic business partner support to drive im-proved outcomes and financial results.

  • Provide financial guidance to the management team on key business decisions, including business initiatives, growth opportunities, and market trends.

  • Develop financial reports and metrics for the division's financial performance, including profit and loss statements, and assets and flows analysis.

  • Collaborate directly with management team and other support functions on insightful analysis including new investment products, scaling the businesses and industry opportunities & position.

  • Collaborate in the planning process including strategy development, multi-year plan, budget, and forecasts.

  • Analyze data and monthly results including assets, flows, market share, expense, headcount, and profitability.

  • Prepares presentations to communicate financial results, analytics, and business trends to senior management.

  • Build and maintain financial data dashboards.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Audit Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing financial analysis, data analytics, and building sophisticated models.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Audit Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing financial analysis, data analytics, and building sophisticated models.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing financial analysis (developing financial models, analyzing financial data, and creating forecasts); and analyzing market and business data using SQL, Tableau, Domo, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • DE analyzing financial statements and metrics (income statements and assets reports) to identify trends and patterns in performance; and analyzing financial ratios and industry trends (development of complex models and macros) using advanced Excel (Macros and Visual Basic Analysis), PowerPoint, and R.
  • DE building sophisticated models, including financial, forecasting, cost-benefit, predictive, and business plan models; gathering, and preparing data needed for models using R and SQL to analyze data; performing quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine model assumptions, inputs, output, and scope; and constructing models using advanced Excel skills (Macros and Visual Basic Analysis).
  • DE analyzing data and building data visualizations using R and Tableau; evaluating data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will inform decision making; synthesizing vast amounts of data using Excel, R, and SQL; using statistical methods to analyze and interpret financial and market data; preparing visual representations of data to communicate data analysis, financial results, analytics, and trends; and sharing analytics and financial metrics through presentations, visualizations, and dashboards/platforms.
