Job Summary:

The Heritage Group (THG) is a family-owned business that over the past 80+ years has built a diverse set of prominent, growth-oriented private and public companies. As a key thought leader and resource for THG, the Strategy and M&A (S+M&A) team is charged with executing new platform investments, add-on acquisitions for portfolio companies and value creation initiatives across the THG portfolio.

Our team continues to grow, and the Senior Associate will be a key part of our S+M&A team. This critical role will assume a diverse set of responsibilities including 1) evaluating and executing new platform acquisitions, 2) participating in value creation initiatives within the THG portfolio, including add-on acquisitions and strategic planning, 3) conducting industry research and market analysis in support of new investments and investment strategies and 4) working on other special projects for the THG S+M&A team.

In executing the responsibilities outlined above, the Senior Associate will be expected to apply critical thinking, ask questions and form judgments, with an emphasis placed on the ability to master the details while also seeing the big picture. The ideal candidate will have already mastered financial modeling and analysis and will be adept at synthesizing diligence information from multiple sources and contributing a reasoned opinion on deal merits and risks. Other Requirements and Relevant Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with high academic achievement

  • At least 2 years of M&A investment banking or transaction advisory services diligence experience at an accounting firm.

  • Expertise in building robust financial models

  • Strong research skills, particularly as it relates to conducting industry and company diligence

  • Capable of mining and analyzing large amounts of data and distilling into salient conclusions

  • Strong project management skills, particularly as it relates to managing third-party workstreams

  • Experience in industrial companies is preferred, but not required

This position will require extensive people, communication, organizational, technical and process skills, and the ability to continuously prioritize multiple projects, and have a high level of focus on quality, accuracy and confidentiality in all work products and communications. Reports to the Business Support Admin Leader and is a member of the Global Services Team. Position Summary: Administrative Responsibilities: * Develop, edit and format correspondence, letters, presentations, proposals, spreadsheets, .pdf files using Adobe Professional and newsletters including coordination of distribution. * Prepare and distribute various communications and types of business reports and perform data analysis and reconciliation as well as summarize trends and provide recommendations. * Research and document information using various Internet search engines and research sites. * Facilitate invoices and expense reimbursement forms through coding, approvals and to accounts payable for processing. * Assist with planning of client or internal meetings, webcasts or conference calls, including scheduling and communication, maintaining information and preparing and distributing materials. * Provide assistance as it relates to planning and preparations for speaking engagements, committee involvement and events, including creation and preparation of written and spoken materials. * Provide calendar management for client or business unit meetings, including administration, scheduling, and communication. * Coordinate travel arrangements through Concur booking tool or travel agents. * Assist with SharePoint site content management and administration. * Use extensive knowledge of internal business practices and priorities to proactively respond to daily issues and requests as authorized, keeping them apprised of critical issues. * Evaluate and encourage process improvement to provide effectiveness and enhance service delivery. * Utilize tracking systems to ensure all time and materials are recorded, project work is prepared and tracked, and project instructions and client interactions are fully documented. * Support engagement billing process by preparing monthly pre-bills, data analysis, receipt reconciliation, spreadsheets and invoices accurately and in a timely manner. * Support WIP management and monitor billing adjustments and updates. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Minimum of five years administrative experience supporting partners and directors in a professional services and /or consulting firm environment required. * Bachelor degree preferred in business administration, organizational development or related field or at least five years of executive/administrative assistant experience supporting partners and directors.
