Amgen is seeking a Sr Associate Strategic Planning & Operations at its office in Thousand Oaks, CA to join the Final Product Technologies (FPT) organization. This individual will report to the head of the Final Product Strategic Planning & Operations (FPT SP&O) function.
This role will support the FPT organization by managing and tracking to closure Nonconformance (NCs), Change Controls and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) attributed to Final Product Technologies. The Senior Associate is responsible to stay informed of best practices and provide innovative, impactful ideas to optimize processes to support the organization's growth strategies.
The Sr Associate will work independently in a self-directed action.
Work with NC/CAPA and Change Control owners to develop and execute remediation plans, maintaining written assessments and closure documentation
Coordinate and align all stakeholders involved in closure of NC/CAPAs and Change Control
Develop a tracking process for all NC/CAPA activities and communicate status to key stakeholders in the organization
Develop and present lessons learned around NC/CAPA management
Eagerly contribute to all initiatives as needed and requested
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Operations and/or Project Management and/or Business experience
Associate's degree and 6 years of Operations and/or Project Management and/or Business experience
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Operations and/or Project Management and/or Business experience
Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Business or Engineering
Proficiency with Quality processes and priorities
Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically to support key business decisions
Excellent organizational skills and a superior attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Strong oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
Proficient facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and change management skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
Superior ability to work in a self-directed manner while balancing a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands
