About This Role
As a member in Biogen's Protein Drug Product Development team, the candidate will be primarily responsible for developing parenteral drug products for clinical, commercial, and life-cycle stage assets. This candidate will work across the development cycle, including developability, formulation and process development for liquid, lyophilized or frozen drug product. Experience in process development, scale up and tech transfer activities is highly desired.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in an innovative, agile manner in a laboratory setting is a key attribute for a successful candidate. The role will also involve developing, assessing, and implementing innovative technologies along with developing platforms, aligned with the department's long-range technology development plans.
What You'll Do
Independently design and execute studies supporting formulation and process development / optimization of parenteral drug product with a sound technical understanding of protein structure, chemistry, and stability attributes.
Perform scale-up studies to support tech transfer/process implementation and risk assessments for manufacturing.
Review, interpret and communicate data in cross-functional teams.
Author study reports.
May represent function on program teams.
Who You Are
You have demonstrated background in developing a stable drug product with experience in process development, scale up and tech transfer activities. You have a desire to learn the drug product development space and love innovating and generating quality data.
Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
2+ years of drug product experience in biotechnology industries.
Experience in in process development, scale up and tech transfer activities.
