Job Description:

We are hiring an Senior Associate, Payments Strategy & Analytics to assist in building and managing HelloFresh's payments strategy and execution. You will support our team with the full payments lifecycle, including processing, fraud detection & mitigation, chargeback & refund management, payments analytics, tools & systems infrastructure, innovation in invoicing and billing, and more. You will drive projects, negotiate agreements, identify business opportunities, advise senior management, and build a world-class payment infrastructure.

You will

  • Manage and communicate regularly with banks, processors, gateways, card networks, and fraud prevention vendors to reduce costs and increase performance

  • Support negotiations of financial agreements & partnerships

  • Project manage initiatives with cross-functional, international teams to improve the efficiency of our payments processing platform, customer experience, and settlement reconciliation

  • Support analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly payments metrics (retry analysis, decline rate/reason analysis, fraud rate/reason analysis) to inform overall strategy

  • Assist with weekly and monthly payments reporting to global senior management teams

  • Improve chargeback/transaction dispute strategy, manage fraud rules, reduce voucher abuse

  • Assist with the development of Payments Operations in Canada

You are

  • A critical thinkeruse logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. You have the ability to break down complex, unstructured problems into components of impact and derive quantifiable action items

  • Detail-orientedcareful and thorough in accomplishing tasks, ensuring that one's own and others' work and information are complete and accurate.

  • Skilled at communicating the results of your analyses to various audience levels

You have

  • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably at a payments or financial services company

  • Familiarity with payments-related data, an understanding of the entire payments lifecycle for credit/debit cards, PayPal, and mobile payments

  • Ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations

  • Experience extracting and transforming data from structured databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

  • Experience with a Data Visualization tool such as Tableau

  • Strong Excel skills

It is a critical initiative to grow AXP's share of commercial payments through new and innovative schemes and constructs. A key driver of this growth is understanding clients working capital needs through insightful analytics, which only AXP can provide in the market. The Supplier Management Strategy and Analytics Office (SMO) is responsible for leading these analytics and client discussions, and consists of cross-functional team of treasury specialists and data scientists to produce analytics on specific clients' working capital needs in order to make accurate recommendations on improving liquidity and financial KPIs. The Senior Manager Supplier Payments Strategy and Analytics is key member of the SPA – SMO team. The person will lead the development and delivery of working capital analytics in collaboration with account development and analytics teams. * Lead the working capital strategy and analytics to support sales and client management teams by providing deal and technical consulting for supplier payments * Develop ad-hoc working capital analyses that enhance B2B value proposition with key recommendations for sales, pricing, product and marketing teams * Lead engagement with clients to understand working capital needs to support their business goals and unlock opportunity for AXP * Represent B2B specialists on cross business project teams and working groups: merchant services/product/marketing/pricing/DS&I/risk and others * Support the creation of deal construct blueprints for selling B2B payment solutions across a wide variety of customers and segments * Understand compliance and regulatory changes and ensure the evolution of the B2B value proposition. * Deep financial and analytical acumen * A consultative and problem solving mindset to drive multi-dimensional analyses in order to derive commercial insights to support negotiations with clients and go-to-market strategies * Self-starter, driven and pro-active who can support the development of a new line of business and help lead the growth of AXP in commercial payments, * Strong interest in commercial propositions for B2B payment solutions * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment * Knowledge of treasury products including Credit Facilities and Supply Chain Finance.
