Senior Associate, Marketing

Capital One is seeking an innovative, data-driven marketer for a Senior Associate role in its consumer credit card business. In this high-profile role, you will lead the development of a strategic learning agenda, identify breakthru creative strategies, and deliver new customer engagement programs for the Mainstreet Customer Segment. The strategies you develop will reinforce the unique benefits that Capital One offers, helping customers upgrade their products, build credit, and improve their financial health. This role will give you the opportunity to take your marketing and strategic skills to the next level.

This individual will have proven ability to use data and critical thinking to identify opportunities (consumer, marketplace, business) and deliver effective strategies that generate results. They will be experienced in marketing plan development, customer experience development, and creative development across a variety of channels.


  • Analyzes and synthesizes customer insights, business results, marketplace trends to advance customer engagement strategies.

  • Ensures product value propositions are integrated into the customer experience with a cohesive and compelling Brand narrative.

  • Identifies opportunities to repair, enhance and innovate communications and experiences central to delivering upon brand vision.

  • Drives creative testing. Briefs and works directly with Creative Teams (both internal and external) to develop and implement learning agendas.

  • Provides oversight of creative development (with internal creative teams or agency partners) to ensure marketing is on-brand, high quality, aligned to our strategic intent and delivered on schedule.

  • Collaborates with a broad set of stakeholders including: Business and Data Analysts, Operations/Production, Legal, etc.

The person will have:

  • Curiosity and creative thinking to uncover and apply deep consumer insights.

  • Proficiency with analyzing the performance of marketing assets and current state customer experiences.

  • Passion and talent to generate and build the case for transformative marketing ideas.

  • Experience with a variety of marketing channels (e.g., email, text/push notifications, Social Media platforms) and familiarity with Content Marketing.

  • Flexibility and attention to detail, must be able to manage multiple projects and navigate changing priorities while maintaining excellent work.

  • Effective communication skills with outstanding writing and presentation abilities to influence cross-functional teams within a large organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Marketing or Product Management

  • At least 3 years of experience with planning, execution and analysis in multi-channel marketing

  • At least 3 years of experience delivering marketing strategies, partnering with creative and cross-functional teams

  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing consumer research to drive marketing initiatives

  • At least 3 years of experience creating and delivering presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field

  • At least 2 years of experience in direct response marketing

  • At least 1 year of experience in Financial Services
