How will you make an impact?

Responsible for cGMP manufacturing operations at the Brammer Cambridge site Drug Product (DP) Fill/Finish operations.

What will you do?

  • Performing critical downstream activities in preparation for fill finish of Drug Product.

  • Documentation of all activities in Batch Records, Logbooks, Forms, Etc.

  • Follows verbal and written procedures in operating production equipment and performing processing steps; accurately completes appropriate production documentation.

  • Identifies, escalates and documents events and subtle variances that deviate from normal operation; participate as needed in investigations.

  • Monitor assigned processes using automated production systems and controls with limited supervision.

  • Equipment preparation activities including, parts cleaning, autoclaving, and room clearance.

  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.

  • Post-Fill tasks will include visual inspection, secondary packaging, and environmental monitoring.

  • Daily Aseptic processing within a controlled isolator environment and within a BSC.

  • Performs batch record review, procedure revisions, and work order generation.

  • Fulfills role of lead trainer on numerous operations and is an area SME.

  • Fulfills the role of Team Lead in the absence of the team supervisor.

  • Responsible for assignment of duties to all team members, ensuring execution of duties, communicating at daily scheduling meetings, and providing technical support as needed.

  • Work in accordance with site and company EHS programs, site regulations, detailed protocols, Batch Record's, SOP's and Work Instructions.

  • Prepare and process components, materials and equipment for aseptic fill finish activities, operate filling equipment and perform aseptic manipulations, able to inspect finished vials and perform labeling activities to support shipment.

How will you get here?

Education

  • BS - Life Sciences or related field - desired. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 4+ years of industry related experience on-the-floor leadership or "subject matter expertise" in cGMP manufacturing - required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Effectively utilizes Microsoft office applications.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Operate under cGMP requirements.

  • Work cross-functionally with support groups such as Facilities, Engineering, Contamination Control, MST, Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

  • Qualify to work in aseptic environments to complete required production activities.

  • Maintain facility and room inspection readiness.

  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown as needed.

The Statistician/ Lead Data Scientist of Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MST) will be responsible for technical manufacturing support in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) for VVS's phase III/commercial manufacturing sites. He/she will provide analytical and statistical oversight to ensure robust and reliable production processes are established and maintained to enable the site to meet and/or exceed client delivery commitments. The Statistician/ Lead Data Scientist will partner with Process Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Process Sciences groups to ensure collaboration. This position will also interface with external clients, providing expertise and guidance, as needed. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide statistical leadership to process engineers, scientists, and associates for purification of late stage clinical, process validation and commercial stage products including overseeing the design of studies, investigation and data analysis of results, and writing/review of technical reports. Must stay current with relevant technologies and forward thinking to identify new approaches. Train MST in basic statistical techniques and appropriate data analysis tools Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. They then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges. Support Continued Process Verification allowing and associated documentation, as required Manage investigation and data analysis to address deviation and implement change controls Work with counterparts in VVS's Alachua Process Development and Cambridge Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management teams etc. to facilitate project success. Drive new process monitoring, statistical techniques and concepts to ensure process are running in a state of control and have alerts and SPC rules in place. Keep current on regulatory and quality requirements and follow Environment, Health & Safety policies. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. PhD preferred. B.S. with 8+ years' relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years' relevant experience, or PhD with 4+ years' relevant experience. Experience with optimization and statistical data analysis tools. Strong project management and organizational skills Working knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements of biopharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of cell and gene therapy vector production highly desirable. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex technical issues.
