The Senior Associate, Forensic Accounting & Investigations is responsible for being involved and participating in compiling and analyzing documents to support consulting, testimony and arbitration services.



  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or other relevant field, required
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred


  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the energy industry or litigation services consulting experience, preferred


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and basic research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information

  • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

Services include intellectual property disputes, commercial and shareholder disputes, fraud, forensic and investigative services, M&amp;A purchase price disputes and arbitration, business insurance consulting, bankruptcy litigation, merger trustee services and tax litigation. </p><p>Join our team and together we'll power the sound decisions that enhance value - yours and ours.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>As a Senior Associate, you will be coordinating engagements to ensure the end product will support thorough and grounded expert opinions and/or provide quality consulting services to attorneys within established timeframes. Additional duties will include the following:</p><ul> <li>Providing guidance to attorneys on key financial and business issues</li> <li>Obtaining an understanding of the drivers that affect value and creditworthiness of financial assets</li> <li>Developing and/or evaluating damages claims and calculations</li> <li>Creating financial models, cash flow analysis, completing business related valuations, and other analyses as dictated by the needs of the client company or transaction</li> <li>Drafting of internal and external communications, including client proposals and expert reports</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Proven experience supporting expert opinions and/or providing financial analytical services to attorneys</li> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Statistics; or an MBA</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in Financial Advisory Services or Dispute Consulting</li> <li>Proven financial modeling skills</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance principles, GAAP and financial statement analysis</li> <li>Proven mathematical, analytical, research, and quantitative skills</li> <li>Demonstrated time management and organization skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to make professional presentations, which includes possessing superior verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel</li> <li>Demonstrated valuation, dispute and/or credit analysis experience</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><i>Duff &amp; Phelps is committed to providing equal opportunities in employment.
