Department Overview
The Marketing Department is responsible for planning and executing programs to grow revenue, increase market share and burnish the Firm's brand. The department focuses on strategic marketing initiatives across key stakeholder groups and leverages a wide range of engagement tactics to build recognition of Golub Capital as a market-leader in sponsor finance. Key stakeholder groups include investors, lenders, private equity sponsors and employees. Centralized departmental functions include marketing content and strategy, PR / communications, advertising, event management, digital marketing and creative services. The Marketing Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership, the Investor Partners Group, Human Resources and the Direct Lending and Golub Growth Teams to develop plans in line with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
The Senior Associate is a member of the Investor Marketing Team which focuses on understanding stakeholder needs and helping build integrated marketing strategies alongside the fundraising teams. They will help support the global institutional marketing initiatives across client segments and will be instrumental in helping the team deliver on distribution strategies.
This individual will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our business and the client segments including client dynamics and challenges, the needs of the Fundraising Team as well as a working knowledge of the products and solutions that are a focus within the investor segment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Help lead large-scale marketing programs through partnership with Fundraising, Product Specialists, Events and Shared Services Teams which may include:
Advertising, web, social media, industry conferences, internal events, thought leadership and major sales programs to build awareness and grow the institutional business
Assist in all phases of the marketing planning process and communicate marketing plans and updates to internal stakeholders
Help develop and support distribution strategy for marketing initiatives in the Institutional client segments
Develop strong relationships with the Fundraising Team and act as a partner who aids their sales success
Partner with the Digital Team to execute email campaigns to various audiences via Eloqua and effectively manage workflow for content creation, list generation and email distribution
Own channel-specific website content and provide proactive reviews and updates of collateral and webpages as needed
Project manage and prepare content and marketing materials for institutional conferences and events in partnership with various internal stakeholder groups
Manage investor facing virtual events including quarterly webcasts and webinars
Contribute to creating an environment where diversity of thought and experience is welcomed and encouraged
Support the Head of Marketing and other Investor Marketing Managers on various marketing projects and functional team operations
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of experience in a similar financial services marketing role
Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and be accountable for multiple projects
Experience with brand amplification and digital marketing platforms; proficiency in Eloqua is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver traditional and digital marketing solutions working as part of a team in collaboration with multiple business stakeholders
Demonstrated "can do" and proactive attitude
Proficiency in Seismic, MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft SharePoint
Strong relationship building skills based on trust and strong work product
Strong interest and ability to quantify the success of marketing programs
Ability to identify marketing areas for evaluation and establishing measurement processes with synthesized data
Knowledge of alternative investment sales process and products is preferred

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be . Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered.
