KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, negotiate and secure a wide variety of tax and non-tax economic incentives

  • Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, particularly as they relate to relocation and expansion activity

  • Help clients with state and local tax issues related to relocation or expansion efforts

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience performing tax research and providing advice on multi-state issues relating to expansion and relocation

  • Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university

  • Experience with global location and expansion services and knowledge of the development, planning and execution of incentive negotiations

  • Experience with corporate taxes, including income/franchise and sales tax and experience with other state and local tax issues

  • Excellent writing, communications and tax research skills

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT Ensures effective performance management with direct and indirect reports and manages the overall process. QualificationsQualifications should include: - A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7-9 years experience managing in the Facilities Management industry - Significant experience in customer service oriented environment. - Excellent communication skills. - Experience interfacing with executive level customer contacts. - Previous supervisory experience required. - Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
