KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Understand complex, disparate financial data and processes to develop reports that support financial analysis, financial reporting, and financial audit response needs
Work with multiple stakeholders to gather and understand functional reporting requirements and translate into technical requirements for a Business Intelligence application
Identify database tables, views, data elements, and business logic required to build report design specifications per client requirements
Prototype reports through functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to produce reporting outputs
Improve and refine queries to improve system performance and manage memory usage
Conduct troubleshooting and data validation to ensure client specifications and requirements are met
A minimum of four years of SQL Development experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
A minimum of four years of Business Intelligence (BI) experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MIS from an accredited college/university preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing best practices and principles including but not limited to ETL and/or EII tools, database architecture and SDLC methodologies
Experience with financial and accounting data/reports desired. Familiarity with Federal Financial management and budgetary reporting is desired
Previous experience working with business intelligence applications with SAP R/3 tables is a plus
U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
