KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand complex, disparate financial data and processes to develop reports that support financial analysis, financial reporting, and financial audit response needs

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to gather and understand functional reporting requirements and translate into technical requirements for a Business Intelligence application

  • Identify database tables, views, data elements, and business logic required to build report design specifications per client requirements

  • Prototype reports through functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to produce reporting outputs

  • Improve and refine queries to improve system performance and manage memory usage

  • Conduct troubleshooting and data validation to ensure client specifications and requirements are met

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of SQL Development experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred

  • A minimum of four years of Business Intelligence (BI) experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MIS from an accredited college/university preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing best practices and principles including but not limited to ETL and/or EII tools, database architecture and SDLC methodologies

  • Experience with financial and accounting data/reports desired. Familiarity with Federal Financial management and budgetary reporting is desired

  • Previous experience working with business intelligence applications with SAP R/3 tables is a plus

  • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
