We are currently seeking to hire an Income Processing Specialist based out of our Jersey City office. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of income (i.e. dividends, interest and principal) received from various sources for our clients and the associated tax reporting functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process dividends, interest, principal, and maturity proceeds
Process broker claims and charges from different entities
Perform tax reporting functions, foreign withholding processing, optional dividend processing and related cost basis adjustments
Submit elections to DTCC
Respond to customer inquiries
Publish UIT rollover announcements and processes instructions
Monitor assigned dividend suspense accounts
Assist with processing proxy statements
Perform other duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of SunGard Phase 3, BETA, DTC PBS/PTS
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Organized, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize daily work flow
Ability to be resourceful and work independently while keeping focus on the group's strategic initiatives

Discretionary compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $54,000-$71,000.
