The Senior Associate Director of Graduate Admissions provides strategic leadership and oversight to enhance and implement innovative recruitment strategies that align with the college's graduate enrollment goals. This role emphasizes managing various initiatives, including graduate recruitment events, travel planning, virtual events, and the graduate student visit program. Additionally, it involves staff supervision and active engagement with faculty directors and program coordinators. The successful candidate will possess the outstanding interpersonal communication skills essential for building effective relationships with faculty, prospective students, staff, Enrollment Management colleagues, and other college administrators.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative graduate recruitment practices across traditional, online, and emerging platforms.

  • Manage, mentor, and provide leadership to a staff of Assistant Directors of Graduate Admission.

  • Act as the primary representative for the Director of Graduate Admission in their absence.

  • Ensure the team delivers exceptional service to prospective and current students.

  • Oversee the student visit and ambassador programs, ensuring they align with the college's strategic goals.

  • Represent the department and the College at strategic meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serve as the liaison between Graduate Admissions and Graduate Program Directors.

  • Collaborate with Graduate Program Directors and the Dean of Graduate Studies to ensure that recruitment strategies are cohesive and aligned with academic objectives.

  • Recruit, train, and manage departmental team members as needed.

  • Work with faculty to analyze enrollment data to inform admissions strategies and funding decisions.

  • Handle escalated admissions-related inquiries and decisions, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform the job.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in graduate admissions, demonstrating a capacity for leadership and strategic planning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with the job.

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Confident public speaking skills, and the ability to present to both large and small groups.

  • Good project management and leadership skills.

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with students and parents in a patient and positive manner.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks and requests.

  • Ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks.

  • Knowledge of Slate CRM preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external colleagues throughout the recruitment cycle.

  • Ability to be flexible when circumstances and priorities change.

  • Ability to work occasionally on evenings and weekends.

Compensation: $87,300.00 - $109,200.00 annually, commensurate with experience.
