Position Overview
Tonix is seeking a full-time Corporate Finance Associate to effectively work cross-functionally to lead corporate budgeting, scenario planning, and internal valuation efforts. This position would be responsible for partnering across all levels to prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors. This is a fast-paced, challenging position that offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. This role is an exempt (salaried) position that will report directly to the COO and be based at the Tonix Chatham, NJ office.
Essential Duties
Leading the corporate budgeting process, coordinating across all departments and C-suite, and using Workday Adaptive Planning software
Working with the Finance team to review and analyze monthly Actual vs Budget results.
Leading quarterly Actuals vs Budget results meetings with department heads
Preparing materials for investment banks, potential investors, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders
Modeling and presenting financial projection scenarios, including NPV analyses
Coordinating with Project Managers to track variances in research & development (R&D) program budgets
Supporting financial efforts around government grant submissions and tracking
Evaluating potential investments, including in-licensing and asset purchase opportunities
Analyzing valuation and returns of new and existing R&D programs
Assisting with transaction due diligence
Liaising with business stakeholders across all levels to achieve strategic, financial, and transactional goals
As needed, assist the accounting team with quarterly and annual SEC financial reporting
Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP's) and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
Perform ad-hoc work/special projects to support Tonix on various business initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred
2+ years of prior experience in a similar role within the same industry or Corporate Finance experience in a consulting firm or investment bank
Adept at using Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analytics
Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning (budgeting) software is a plus
Excellent analytical skills and business acumen, results -oriented thinker
Strong ability to build relationships and work effectively with various senior stakeholders
Ability for travel 10% of the time / Ability for minimal travel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
